I was wondering if any of you have had this problem...

I am an altoholic, i love trying new characters to see what they can do.
Often times i make a character, level it to 15, then delete it.. just cause i wanted to see how a cleric compares to a druid.

Anyways, needless to say, I like to give some of my alts a gold piece here or there to get them some good gear, and to also buy them a few collectibles to help "power level" them.

One thing I noticed, is that If you try to send yourself money in the game... often times it gets lost.
About 75% of the time i try to send any of my alts money, It will never go threw.... I have lost about 15-20g this way.

At first I thought I was just absent minded.. Maybe I was about to send money but got sidetracked? ... BUt it becaume pretty clear after a while.. There was no way my memory is that bad, specially when I notice 2g missing from my main, and its not on my alt.
I also used to send items to my character threw mail (before I knew about shared slots)... They always seemed to make it threw just fine... It just appears to do it with money.

I don't know if the banker is just a bit greedy, and trying to make a quick buck... But my shipping insurance just won't cover it!

I have filed a few bug reports, and have done a few /petitions... But all the GMs seem to deny the bug exists.
I asked around, and not many others seemed to have the problem, but I did come across a couple people that said they had money disapear.

Oh, 1 time that I did send it, it took about 2 RL days before it arrived at my alt.. But it did finally make it.... However I know that 15-20g is still floating around some where:(

Anyone else have this problem?

I have never had this problem and I move large sums of cash to alts all the time.

This may be a dumb question but are you sure you spelled the character's name right? Also did you use a subject heading and include at least some text?

The lack of any of these could be your problem. I am always doubly careful to spell my names right and always add a subject and some body text...

Yes i am 100% sure i spell my characters name right.

Also, It auto puts in a subject heading...

As to the body... Im not sure.. I know some of them i didnt put any...
This is an interesting thought... I think I might go do some rigerious testing (using small quantities of coin of course:p)

I send mail to alts all the time and also have never encountered this problem.

Quick work around for you though, go to your tradeskill instance buy a few stacks of the highest tier coal, sandpaper, etc. and put it in your shared bank slot.

Your alts then can pick it up instantly and resell to a tradeskill vendor for the same price you paid for it.

Easy money transfer without waiting on the slow postmen.

Aret these alts on the same account or on a second account? I only encounter problems when I am mailing between characters on the same account. Only once did I encounter a problem between two accounts. I was sending a stack of 20 agates and I think I accidentally hit delete instead of receive. Doh!
