Ranger Class tactics there roll as solo and groupingFollow

First of all this is my first and only scout class that I played in EQ2 and by o means im not that good. Since I play EQ1 with tank class and Playing scout class in EQ2, Ive tent to play as him as tank more then I should get my self in to trouble more often and died. I was reading few post and learn lot of thing here and there but still having trouble understanding how to use posion with ranger. Far as solo I use hunt and backstab with HO combo, backshot to meele with HO combo. I've try to kite but it take more time with the bow to kill and always miss. I know how to use HO when I solo and I got the patern down good enough to kill orange mobs but when I group with other players Im limited how to use HO. Sometimes they ask me I know how to change the HO in the middle, once the startup and I have no idea what they are talking about.

1. I guess the questions is that how to use posion, what kind of posion that I should use?

2. I need some Info on ways to kite if posible?

3. How to use HO in a group?

To use poison, buy some from an NPC or player made from the broker, and place it in one of your activatable slots. (You have two), then right click on the icon and choose "use". Each purchase is good for 5 uses and each use will last 12 hours or 100 procs, whichever comes first. As far as which type of poison to use, well, any poison that is not red to you will do!

In NPC available poisons, your choices are high DD & low DoT -or- low DoT & high DD -or- med DD & med DoT. (I prefer high DD & low DoT but it's up to you what you like!)

There is a wide range of player made poisons available - best bet is to search the broker and examine them to see what you like.

Kiting will probably be eliminated from our skill set in about 2 weeks, (with LU #13), so I wouldn't put in any time learning how to do it at this point!

Group HOs are too large a subject to cover in this post but I can tell you how to "flip" one. When someone in a group asks you to change an HO after it starts, they want you to flip it. Here's how it works;

Find a spell or skill in your knowledge book that has a coin icon . Any one of these can be used. Place it in a hot bar and when an HO starts that someone wants you to flip, click on that spell.

This will randomly change the HO to a different one.
