On one of my characters I started the goblin language quest on the Isle, unfortunately i left before finishing it. Is there any way i can finish it now or should i just delete the quest?

Keep it, you'll have MANY more opportunities to match wits with those pesky and smelly critters. :)

Coming from Qeynos, I was about level 30 before I saw any goblins I could beat. If you run out of room in your log and you're not near level 30 yet, I would consider deleting it.

The goblin markers will drop from any gobbo including the blue ones in Forest Ruins (technically, they are Aqua Goblins). You will see them en mass once you hit tier four and begin to adventure in Enchanted Lands. Seems you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a gobbo in EL!

They start at around lvl 34 there and many, (like the goblin scouts), are highly aggressive. Ahhh... the simple joy of beating a little green creature into a lifeless, pulpy mass with a 2 handed stick... Life is good!

Yes the EL is infested with them, and you can find the goblin lore book in a bookcase in one homes in the wall by the talking scarecrow west of the dock. Their is also a lady by the river next to the bridge to rivervale that gives a repeatable kill goblins quest. You can work on all three at a time.

In the EL the scouts are also the easiest goblins to kill. They are solo, dont hit for much and have little to no defense and HP. The onlything easier to kill in the EL are the lamia charmers.

Another place you can find a lot of goblins are in Nec. forest. If you follow the river north you should find a lot just south of the falls.

I'm glad i didn't delete that quest then. I already know gnoll and i was kicking myself for not learning goblin before. Well, now i just have to wait till i'm a little higher, just like that "words of power" quest.

On a similar note, are PC languages done in a similar way? I know you have to buy a primer, but what do you do after that? I haven't yet bought one so it might be very simple, but it annoyes me when i try to talk to someone and it says that they say something you don't understand. In eq i tried to learn as many languages as i could and wanted to do the same here. Thanks for any help.

All you have to do is buy the primer. You pays your money and BAM! You know a new language.

If you can't access EL as yet, you can find five fairly tough goblins in Thundering Steppes too. Past the Ruins of Karana, the back door entrance to the Ruins of Varsoon is guarded by five of them.

These used to be group mobs, but were altered.

With the current drop rate of language items, even with only five mobs, you'ld get it all very quickly.

They are lvl 30 though, some 31, but easy kills at lvl 29.

There are also Aqua Gobs in Nek Forest. The Ruins Skulkers, like OBD mentioned, in Forrest Ruins, a T1 zone, also drop them. It is very easy to get this thing finished.
