Afternoon Everyone,

I have noticed a general trend lately with regards to the economy on the Nektulus server. A couple of weeks ago my furniture (tier4) was selling like hotcakes for numerous gold pieces. Now I barely sell anything and when I do it's at a discounted rate.

Just on a hunch, I checked out the going rate on the major plat sellers. It typically is a good indicator of where the economies are going. To my surprise, one major website had no plat whatsoever and the other site was selling plat for 3x the going rate just a few weeks ago. This is interesting especially in the wake of the recent plat duping episode...

I thinks SOE did a pretty good job removing the excess platinum from the game!!! Woot!

Bub

P.S. I do not endorse any plat seller. Just use them as a tool to gauge markets.

I agree that sales have slowed lately and furthermore, the occasional item I put out for a "silly" price no longer seems to sell. Could be the effect of the cleanup after the plat duping or the ongoing roundup to quarentine sellers to the 2 exchange servers, or a combination of the two...

While on the economy, I have a quick question. If you were I, how much would you sell these for? I started out at 8p just for fun. Dropped it to 4p after two days and then dropped it to 2p, where it currently stands. Is that too much?

Yes 2pp is to much. I'd say go for 30gold or so, its good but not that good.

Also seems to me that the market has slowed down. I keep dropping my prices but still very few sales compared to previous experience.

It is shame the market is going down again, if crafters dont sell their wares they dont buy the harvests I put on sale.

But it should balance again, I buy what I need with what I have, and if others do the same it will come back up.

I noticed this as well. I sell the harvestables mostly and a couple weeks ago I was getting 3s for a tuber and decent prices on everything else. Tubers are still the best but there prices have been cut in half with the lack of people buying. I think another reason this may be happening is alot of people have stopped crafting and buying craft items to see if the batch crafting in expansion is gonna lower prices.
