what one is recommended? i think pretty much either final fantasy XI or Everquest 2 are the best, but i don't know which.

Star Wars Galaxies has been ruined by SoE so i don't know if everquest 2 gets the same treatment...what is the game like as a whole?

what is final fantasy XI like? any details would help me immensely

I used to play SWG aswell as eq and FFXI and ultima online...i recomend FFXI.. but be ready for a big surprise.. you can not solo any but your first ten lvls and it is totaly difrent from anyother mmorpg out there.. But it is fun.. you will loss exp if you die and you can lvl down from deaths.. this is one of my fav games though.. like it better then eq 1 and as much if not more the pre jedi village swg.. i say give it a shot and buy the platyers guide by brady games.. its not the best guide in the world but it helps alot.

::edit:: ohh i have not yet played eq 2 yet so i can give no advice there.

It is all up to personal taste. I like EQ2, but couldnt stand FFXI. I found FF too slow, the economy was too high, and you were requird to group to kill the easy stuff. FFXI also only had 4 races, but they could be any job and you could do any job you wanted and have one as a secondary job. In EQ2 it is a faster paced game then FF, the economy varies day by day, but I can still afford to buy decent gear, and except for certain zones soloing is quite easy to do, or it is too me. I am not sure of your financial situation, but I would advise buying both games and do the trial period for a month and decide that way. The trial of the isle is nice, but does not get the true effect of the game.
