why are you yelling? Are you aware that the human eye/mind has more difficulty reading all caps then the proper mix of upper/lower case type?

Personally, I have no interest in even attempting to read a message in all caps... but maybe that's just me...

Sorry for the upper/lower case lettering - I'm going into the fourth grade in the fall and I get a class on computers/internet stuff then - My parents says that you shouldn't make fun of people the way they talk either in person or I guess the internet - I would have to say that my guess for the species type for an old blue dragon would be - (Old blue dragon = Jerkasaurous

BigHarper, i cannot answer your question about orbs since i havent done the quest myself. But i can help you on other things.

ALL CAPS: Its very possible that you werent aware of it but there is a sort of non-written code on the internet that says typing using all cap is rude. Typing using all cap letter is like if you shouted your question with a impatient tone to it.

Now its true that its not polite to make fun of someone typing errors ( like me i make a millions everyday but i am proud of the way i write and understand english having had only everquest as teacher or almost )

Anyway in the futur, just do regular typing and use all cap on a word or sentence only if you want to bring special attention to the term you are using. Else people wont be incline to help you.

OldBlueDragon is a well respected person on these board and he is great help to everyone. Follow the rules ( even if unwritten ) and you wont have any trouble, i am sure we wont see you typing in all cap again. Keep strolling the boards, it really helps to take a daily visit, theres always surprise to learn around.

Oh and heres this might help you.

As the above poster said-
A) Caps is rude
B) Don't **** with Oldblue or we will mess you up.

Now thats thats out of the way I can answer your question.

The reward is a necklace of flowing orbs ( http://eq2.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?eq2item=11556 )

As yu can see it is good, but only if your level 36 and a finger wiggler (Aka mage) due to the power and int upgrades. Most other classes can find better necklaces that are suitted to them.

So in short I'd say sell the orbs if your a fighter or priest or scout and keep the necklace if your a mage.

Bigharber, your reply to OldBlue was uncalled for. He did not insult you. He simply stated that all caps is difficult to read and that he wasn't going to try. I agree with him that your post is very difficult to read. Maybe it is just my bifocals but I don't think so.

OldBlue is one of the most helpful members of this forum and for you to call him names for his suggestions only shows your immaturity. Name calling should never be an option.

Everyone really needs to start using the rating system. Start rating down people that are flamers like this guy. Then you can set your filter to not filter posts with an X amount of rating so it will never show up again.

Rate up people that contribute to the board and rate people down that are worthless and belittle people.

You can rate people by selcting the drop down under the person's name on the post. Then scroll to the bottom of the page when you rate everyone how you wish. And click on "rate post"

Anyone can rate but it only counts if a scholar or higher does it or else I would have rated him down to hehe.

Wow crazy in the asylum i didnt knew what it was, i though Guru Nadenu was insane with the 5k post and i see people there with 17k and more post :)

And to think i only have 125 post in like 8 years maybe i should start being a bit less lazy and wait for OldBlue to answer all the questions :)

Anyway just wantyed to say its good idea to start rating post at least for the flammer so we dont see them around in the futur. Always been doing it, not that too many flammers pass around. Need to rate down people like PMX whos trying to use the boards for commercial benefit.

I think those 17K post counts are from those that like to hold conversations in threads, each post less than 5 words.

Or maybe they care about post count so they flood the threads with as many as they can. I've even seen threads that had the sole purpose of spamming posts to increase the count.

sigh

Now is my post full of vital information? Most likely not, so I'm guilty of semi-spamming at the very least. Very rarely will I post a "yea, what he said" post.

But, to each his or her own.

Post farming is a time honored, (even if not an honorable), tradition.

Also, a quick "what he/she said" can be a simple and effective way of saying "that response is correct and will yield the desired result" without repeating or re-writing the same information in a new response. A poster may not have anything new to add to the thread except to say "That worked for me too", and "what he/she said" would do that, and I believe it's still a valid comment.

Personally, I think that most of the Gurus on these boards have a lot to teach the rest of us. And their post count is more a badge of honor than one of infamy. Now, sock puppets... that's a whole 'nother story!!!

True, the ones that have been around a while would certainly have the knowledge.

I guess I'm less impressed by post count and rating score, and more impressed by the content of the posts.

And my 2 yellow stars? I have no idea how I got them. :/
