Pardon if this question has been asked.

The baby dragon, like all pets, will be lost if you relinquish your home, as I understand it. I also understand you can bank pets. So my question is, since this is a special pet, can you still bank it to avoid losing it when you wish to relinquish or upgrade a home? Thanks in advance.

Sorry for hijacking this tread, but ive read 2 different stories about this baby dragon pet..And im just looking for clairfication.

1st: the dragon acts as any other pet.

this true? can u use it in battle?

2nd: Dragon can only stay in your house.

is it really worth buying the the Collectors Ed. for a pet that just lays around your house all day an scrounges up you food etc?

I would pay the $90 for the CE for this dragon if it had real use.. well any reply is welcome an thx

also what happens if the dragon dies? i assume u lose it for good..

I didn't get the collector addition but, from what I have researched the baby dragon is something that stays in your house.. sort of a friendly face to greet you when you come home. I am not sure but, I don't think you can use it to fight with. And like all pets, you have to feed and take care of it. I am not sure its something I would desire (have a hard enough time taking care of myself no less a pet..lol).

ty for the reply .. other question i have is this... I've seen a few pic's now of eq2 of players on mounts (Griffon i believe) Do some mounts fly? i mean if u can mount a griffon an it has wings it can fly no?

House pets stay in the house. The Baby Dragon is a house pet. The Griffons fly AND are a lot of fun. However, they just fly between fixed Griffon Towers and are used to get arround a BIG zone. Their path is not that fixed and can wander a bit before you get where you are going. They are a great way to scout for things if you exploring on your own and not relying on maps obtained outside the game.

I bought the collectors edition, and indeed, it is a house pet.

You login, type /claim and get your dragon key item. The dragon item you examine and it gives you about 8 different color combos you can pick as your 'quest reward'. Sadly, it doesnt show you what the dragon will look like until AFTER you make your choice.

After you pick your colors and hit okay, you get your dragon to 'place' in your home.

The dragon itself is funny. You can punish it, taunt it, put it to sleep, make it spit fire, and a few other things. It's funny because it runs around your house, all over your furniture and shoots flames out of its mouth.

I tried setting my table on fire to no avil, still cute to play with.

You can always remove it from your house should you decide you dont wanna pay upkeep costs and re-place it once you get a nice income.
