Is it a definite that only good races can become conjurers? Thanks in advance.

I don't know if it is definate or not, but according to the class-tree in the instruction booklet you have to be good to become a Conjurer. That kinda sucks, I wanted to be a Rat Conjurer but it looks like I have to go gnome now.

The classes you can become are based on which city you are loyal to. Race only affects 'starting' loyalty. So any race can be any class, but some will have to betray their city to do so.

EDIT: me type pretty one day

It's really not accurate to say "good only" can be a conjurer. The truth is that "Qeynos only" cane be a conjurer. So if you are a "good" race or a neutral race and you started in Qeynos then as long as you don't do the betrayal quest you can be a conjurer. If you are of an "evil" race or a neutral race that started in Freeport then you MUST do the betrayal quest to become a conjurer.

The same concept applies to all race/sub-class combinations where the class is specifically "good" or "evil" (Qeynos or Freeport). All sub-classes that aren't "good" or "evil" can fully train in their class in either city.

To do the betrayal quests I think around level 15 or so you need to find Cordun Brenland in Qeynos Harbor or Stilus Graphium in East Freeport

So if you are a "good" only job "Conjurer" and you do the betrayal quest, switching to Freeport. Can you not be a Conjurer anymore??

After a certain level you can no longer do the betrayal quest. 18 I believe it was?

So does that mean No or Yes? I'm not terribly familiar with the job structure yet. Can you not be a Conjurer until after lvl 18?

I think you have to be like lvl 20 to become a conjurer, so there isn't any way for you to become a conjurer then do the betrayl quest.

I am a dark elf and fully expect to be a conjurer since before EQ2 came out because I do expect to take the Betrayal Quest.

Here is a simple explanation of the process for going from evil to good.

1.) Create an Evil race character.
2.) Chose the appropriate base profession on newbie island.
3.) Level up to level 8 and then begin the appropriate Class quest for your goal sub-class (finish by level 10).
4.) Level up to minimum level 15 and then begin the betrayal quest(s) by visiting Stilus Graphium in East Freeport.
5.) Complete the betrayal quest(s) and move to Qeynos.
6.) At level 18 begin the appropriate sub-class quest for your "good" sub-class.
7.) Level 20 roles around, and assuming you have finished the appropriate quests... You are now an Evil Race playing a Good Class.

To go from good to evil simply follow the above instructions but swap the words good and evil and then in step 4 vist Cordun Brenland in Qeynos Harbor and in step 5 move to Freeport...

Simple enough!
