So if me and a friend pick the same server we'll be able to play/party together? Someone mentioned about there being different 'worlds' on each server?
Is there a way to ensure you're going to be together if there are a few of you?

Yes.
The only time you won't be able to play together is if you are not partied and one of you enters an instanced dungeon. There are zones that are created just for 1 party at a time. If you guys are on the same server, you will be able to party and enter those kind together though.

I'm sorry guys, but GUK is the best zone in live. I will be on the GUK server along with a lot of friends from the North Florida area. I look forward to seeing everyone in this brave new world.
Most of the folks I know will be on Permafrost, so I guess I will roll there WHEN I get my disks from SoE.

I am so torn. I levelled a dark elf priest to L8 last night on Unrest and love the server population and activity, but my old EQ guild is playing on Antonia Bayle. Sucks :(
