Pre ordering EQ2Follow

I ran to EB games today to pre-order EQ2 and to my surprise the clerk told me that I should probably wait a few days after release to get my copy. I inquired as to why and he informed me that Halo 2 was to be released on the same day.

Apparently Halo 2 has 1,000 pre orders at this location that I went to and about 50 for EQ 2. He said he's never seen anything like it.

Of course if I don't mind waiting for 2-3 hours in line I'm sure I can get it.

Funny thing is, when OOW was released they had like 600 pre-orders for that but only 50 for EQ 2. Maybe it will flop after all...

depends on location mostly. I am willing to bet there are places with a 1000 preorders for some games in cities like LA or NY, whereas 10 preorders in small cities.

It wouldn't suprise me, I heard the same thing when I went to pickup a starter cd. The store I went to said they had about 350 for Halo2 and like 25 for EQ2. I didn't even get a starter cd. Apperently they only had 20 at my store. =(
