You seem pretty pissed off at that :P

Did they promise an earlier shipping date?

There simply aren't people in beta right now to answer the question. The friends and family phase only just began. Prior to that it was closed company testing and maybe a taste given to a few industry people. (So many someone who runs this site has tried it, but nobody else here would have.)

All the current testers must be under a strict NDA.

Maybe there's a problem with purolator. Tell you what Kaolian, have it shipped to my office here and I'll bring it to you ASAP.

Some random thoughts:

I like the fact that EQ2 allows me to solo at least moderately well and gain xp. There are many more quests in EQII. EQII is more graphically detailed and obviously has a more sophisticated graphics engine behind it all but lacks graphical soul. I still miss watching sunsets in La Theine. I really miss switching jobs at a moment's notice to match up with my friends or allies. EQ2's crafting system seems to have great (albeit currently flawed) potential.

I cancelled my FFXI account last month (mostly because I hate enforced grouping). I plan on playing EQ2 for at least a few months to see how the bug destruction goes.

How very true. FFXI has almost a painterly quality to it. Not every detail is filled in, but the result feels more complete in a way.

POPSI!!! (Sorry for the off topicness)

FFXI had a very simple simple crafting style. From what I have read EQ2 will be a bit more in depth. Not just a simple add items and click "make".

Yeah ive read that manufacturing items is actually going to take a certain amount of skill to make decent stuff as well as high quality resources

I got to keep this short since i am at work right now. EQ2 is a lot better then FFXI. EQ2 is NOT READY for retail. Far from it. Tons of bugs and crashes.

I am not picking up eq2 on release. It is a lot of fun but i will be playing WoW on that release. I will play WOW for a few months then go to EQ2 when they fix a lot of the bugs.
