I fixed someone's PC recently that complained about overrheating..opened the side...took some compressed air to it. Out came a mini dustbowl like catastrophe.
Definitely keep the insides dust free every few months or do depending on PC location.

I also recommend doing this activity outside on a porch, unless you want to have to vacuum or sweep your house immediately afterward.
I'd also recommend a face mask regardless of where you do it at least and/or goggles. Especially with allergies.
That said, kids standing back playing with laser pointers in the dust can be cheap entertainment. totally do not do this just for fun myself...

The goggles, they do nothing!
