i bought a 360 yesterday for the hell of it and got ffxi coz i wanna play on my couch instead of a chair (to increase my laziness) and when im updating my step-sister tips my 360 and scratches the **** out of my disc....now i have to buy ANOTHER ONE
Well, maybe you can get a cheap used one at EBgames or Gamestop.
I would feel sorry for you, but I'm too busy sitting in this really uncomfortable chair playing on my computer to care.

Um...CD cratch repair kits are your friend.Unless the top of the CD got scratched.If it's the bottom, get a repair kit, and buff out the scratch.
Or you can buy a cable, connect your computer to the television, and buy the Vana'diel collection.

Edit: Oh and on topic, If X360's support is like playstation 2s, then they should be able to replace the disc free of charge. That said, when that happened to me it was due to a hardwear fault, my PS2 was scrathing discs whilst running normally, so it might be different if it was knocked over.
Other solution: You're sister broke the disc, therefor your sister buys the new game.

EB games or Gamestop will not have it used, as they arent allowed to purchase used copies of the game.....I tried to get one and they informed me Target or Walmart would probably be the place to find it, because they stopped producing the discs for 360.
