Recommendation, my friends.

If you swim with the shark, expect to get bit. o.o

^(O.o) This is in regards to not just Spinshark but all manner and breed of trolls. Arguing and attempting to validate your point or story to a person like that will never gain you anything except a massive headache and maybe a crushed soda can or two.

Incidentally, I say soda. O.o Does anyone else say soda? or is it pop to all others on earth? o.o` Hrm.

Anyhow, back on topic.

(>o.0) After doing a cursory overview of Spinshark's posts, I quickly realized they weren't really worth the time devoted to reading them when there were so many other interesting, informative, and fun threads abounding on the forums. I can read about the latest Limbus information, NPC quest breakthroughs, new gear, and people's personal achievements and general /cheer! threads, all of which provide either thoughtful discussion, interesting opinions, amusing one-liners, or all three combined. ^^

In light of such fun and intelligent dialogue, why bother with neaderthalic dithering and flaming? ( o.o)> For the sake of your own I.Q., I recommend the following.

If you see a troll's post, forget about it. Arguing with a troll merits nothing. Were this real life, and you could sock a troll in the mouth for, say, demeaning/disrespecting a lady or being generally boorish and crass, THAT would perhaps deter further idiocy. As this is, however, an online forum, there is little that can be done to strike back; no matter how tempting it is to do so, it just helps 'em along.

Let's all admit it. See a troll, troll acts.... well, troll-ish, fantasize about taking troll down with wiffle bat, make angry, extremely-valid-and-intelligent-but-ultimately-pointless reply to troll, troll laughs and strokes his ego some more. Consider it a disease: e-masochism. Don't satisfy their cravings.

<(o.o)> Seriously. If a post is dumb, do the best thing that can be done; don't reply at all! I, too, must learn to do this. >.< But, in the end, it will save a lot of trouble! Rate it down, continue on speaking to the interesting and intelligent people in the thread. Forget about the people who just want to make you mad and go have fun instead. (>^^)> That's why you're all here, right? <(^^<)

I bid everyone a good day, and best of luck with the new update content! ^(O.O) WE MARCH ON LIMBUS TONIGHT, COMRADES!

EDIT: Limbus? Limbo? O.o I don't know about all of you, but these heavy cuirass I wear aren't all that flexible. >.< Someone help me through this one. We Paladins aren't that bendable. o.o;;

I've never heard *anyone* call a remote a clicker or a changer.

So far....

Soda: 1
Coke: 1
Pop: 0

( o.O) it's NECK AND NECK, people.

Trolls are called trolls not after the monsters in fantasy stories but after fishing (trolling), where you dangle bait and drag it behind a boat waiting for a fish to jump after the easy moving food. Which is really pretty much what our trolls do here. I just wanted to clear that up for those that didn't realize, but sure it is fun envisioning them as a big ugly monster struggling to type because their fingers are too fat.

Blueheed

ps, I'm sure some of you knew this, but in the past I have seen a number of people think otherwise.

It's a regional thing. ^^ I was raised on pop, but when I went to college I was forced to drink soda or face the ridicule of my peers (for some reason). Now I say soda, or more likely, specify the kind that I want.

My favorite is: Cola

I've gotten in the habit of that b/c 1) I don't say "pop", 2) I don't say "soda", 3) I grew up with "Coke" (and I'm from CA, go figure), and 4) I got tired of waiters saying, "We don't have Coke, is Pepsi alright?"

Well yes it's alright ... bring me my darn soda!

Anyway, even though I say I'll have a diet cola ... some fools still say, "We don't have Coke, is Pepsi alright?"

/sigh

Soda Coke Pop Tonic

In the southeast its Coke (for everything), owing to Coca Cola being an Atlanta based company.

"Want a coke? What type of coke do you want?" "Mountdew!"

In small pockets of the NE it can be refered to as Tonic.

In the midwest it's Pop

In the NYC and some of the northeast it's refered to as Soda.

In Italy its Coca-cola-light. Not Diet Coke. Pepsi is basically unheard of, (you can find it, but's difficult).

as for footwear, in NYC they call em sneakers, not tennis shoes.

Soda and remote for the win! \(^_^)/

(Any time my exwifre called it a "clicker", I would say, "You want the what?" "The clicker." "The what?" "Goddamnit give me the remote." "Oh! Why didn't you just say so in the first place.")

I also grew up calling it "Pop", but now I am relocated and live in an area where it's called "Soda"..

So I think the tally should read:

Soda: 4
Coke: 1
Pop: 1
Cola: 1

I think most people use the word "pop" in Canada, or at least that's what I use, and everyone I've ever heard asks for pop over soda. In restaurants I just use the products name, Pepsi, Sprite etc..

I also use the word remote. ^^

I've always called it soda.. i've had friends from other parts of the country (or canada) that call it pop, which just sounds cute to me. as for calling all 'soft drinks' coke.. that's just weird O.o what do you ask for at a restaurant if you want like, sprite or dr. pepper?

As for remote, well, yeah. it's a remote. calling it a 'clicker' or 'changer' is just gonna make me laugh at you =P i've heard 'TV buttons' before, too... that one actually made me stop and ask 'TV... buttons?' because i had no clue what they meant. =D
