Having problems with my npc

Hi. I just got my NPC last night, and I'm having a little trouble with him. I was told I can change his job, yet at the rondevu point I can't change his job. I've been all through the menu and all he tells me is that he is a level 30. It don't let me change him. I don't need a warrior. Did I do something wrong, or do I have to do something else to change his job? I appriciate any help.

Hey....u need to summon ur npc like 5 times in battle areas then go to the gardens in jeuno go to the point and the nu have more things u can choose from :)
