...because the servers are down for "emergency maintenance?" I am not speaking of the scheduled maintenance today so much as the random downtime and login problems acknowledged by SE as being their fault. I called the customer service number one day, and politely asked to be reimbursed for the time I personally wanted to play, and was unable to, due to known issues on SE's end. They denied me. In fact it is stated in their ToS that they will do no such thing. Well I am tired of being treated like this; as a customer I don't believe I deserve it. SE is obviously not making a sufficient effort to keep their service available. Take a look at this list and you'll see how frequently these problems are occuring.
What am I going to do about it? What can you do if you feel the same way? Well, I found this page for a start. There appear to be some problems with the website atm, but I will be filing a complaint ASAP. I don't know how much good it will do, but maybe if enough people complain it will at least put some pressure on Square Enix.

Go away then, atleast they're doing SOMETHING to fix their server problems, would you rather have 10ish hours of downtime or server crash every 2 hours? you're the one playing the game, if you dont like it you can go any time

ide rather them find a decent server thing-a-ma-jig and let us play for a month or so without 10 hours of mainteence. 2 servers (FFXI, and PoL) makes for twice the downtime, and twice the bugs to fix.
how many poeple honestly play tetra master? i tried, and i couldnt even do it. im not saying get rid of it, but make it a different server or even a different game and save us FFXI players some hassle.
i dont have my whole life based around FFXI, but im paying for this game.

13 hours divide by 720 (amount of hours in a 30-day month) is .018. Multiply that by $12.95. You get $.23. How do you want that? 2 dimes and 3 pennies? Or 1 STFU?

LOL whoa buddy. I am a (relatively) normal person. I leave my house quite often, and not just for work LMAO. When I come home and want to play FFXI for an hour or two, and I am unable to log in because Square Enix can't maintain their network, I expect to be reimbursed. I am paying for a service. Math is a little out, to be entirely fair, you can't exactly play whilst your sleeping. On the basis of getting 8 hours a night. Its a whole 35 cents.

Every person that replies to the thread and flames the OP like that are ignorant plain and simple. You'd think that after seeing the topic title and finding out it is an obvious rant topic, you'd look past it, but no you have to go and yell at the person for being against a maitnence that you personally feel is getting annoying as well. Everyone that is playing this finds the maitnence irritating and clashign with your free time. We all also know it is important, though the server has been messy since the begining of the year, and the maitnence hasn't seemed to help, SE is trying. Most of us are just annoyed that today is a day off for alot fo US as was monday and both were filled with maitnence.
edit: Nothing more, or less than what I expected to happen, rate downs matter not because my name is not yellow, and I don't care that I lose privelages I have yet to obtain. It's sad that their are such immature people on the forum though. I have all these posts...one rate-down os not even slgihtly affect my karma so (That's to bad.) for you.
