The PlayOnline server maintenance currently underway has been extended. The estimated finish time is now 20:00 (PDT) as noted below.
The "Friend List Plus" feature, as well as the "Q&A" feature accessible from the official PlayOnline homepage (http://www.playonline.com/) will be unavailable.

actually 8:00 - 20:00 is 12 hours but yes extensions suck but we can't do anything about it
ugh, I hate it when they do this ._. I actually plan to go do something else during maintenence's... >.x than stuff like this happens and I am stuck with nothing to do -.- Oh well.. what can ya do?

thats just incredible! do you realize in the past 76 hours there has been 21 hours of time we couldnt play? and i bet the halloween event will be in like 6 days. what they should do is give a 3 month period with no events or anything and just let us play. just a thought considering

Well... at least this time they announced it some hours before it should end.
It let us plan do something else while wait.
I personally hate when 5min before it ends, they announce an extension for X hours.

OMG! Do you realise that in the past 8 hours, there have been 8 hours we couldn't play?

There really is a half-full/half-empty thing going on here, and it's just not *that* hard to see how well things go on the whole.

It could be as simple as... they want to do the maintenance during their regular work hours?
I hate the extensions more than the maintenance itself. I sort of had my evening planned out.
Oh well my P.E. exam is in 2 weeks and im rather unpreparred anyway... maybe will work some problems or something.

well i'm not suprised by the extension at all. I mean we are talking about SE here. They should feel lucky they have such a big following with FF series because if any other online company had as many problems and amount of down time. They would have been out of business a long time ago.

heh this sucks, i was gonna do my af2 tonight for sam, but i guess im gonna have to do it tommarow which means i cant get it until saturday bc i have to wait 24 hours after i kill this nm

Having Play Online seperate from Final Fantasy X seems to create two targets for hackers, and two points to make bug free. Personally, I think they should intergrate the two until the technology is better proven and tested.
However, I'm not them. :) They are installing a new server. As someone who works with computers, I know that there are many problems that can crop up - usually something you have no control over.
'Awwww, man, the cat 5 cable that's in the box is a crossover, and I need a standard patch cable!' LOL.
'Why didn't the script work that we made a month ago? We tested it! Ohhhh.. IBM requires that you change $ in the entire script to # in this new copy of such and such'.
I'm relaxed. I never get angry about these sorts of things. :)
