Offline content, a request?

Server maintenance happens, we all have to live with it.
Some of it is scheduled way in advance, some is not.
Personally, I`d rather like to have an option of some offline content (such as fishing) to pass the time.

Hmm, if you think about it, not much could be done for offline content, because people can just choose "offline" ***** out everything possible, upload to the server, then when they log on, they pretty much avoid having to do anything to get anything, without the gil buying..

BUTTTTT...

I say chocobo races or Choco Hot and Cold since FFXI is in the FFIX era pretty much.

That would be really nice but I don't think that would be possible with the current technology the game uses. :(

I would love to be able to craft during maintenance but SE needs the whole server down to fix it.

SE already offers a large array of offline content for a slight premium on top of your monthly fee.

Kingdom Hearts
FFI-X
Star Ocean 1-3
Xenogears
Parasite Eve 1 and 2

Those are all just off the top of my head, there is a wealth of offline content just waiting to be explored.

Please note: Some additional hardware may be required. Hardware costs are not included in premium required for offline content.

Well theres Tetra master dont know if you can play that though while ffxi is being worked on (might be on same equipment)

lil mini games would be fun though ^^

no can't do tetra master either in most cases, like today, you can't even get on playonline which means no tetra master.

Honestly, I found myself wishing that same thought today. Of course that would require Play Online to actually function which is against its TOS.

I would be completely content with just running around the zones, exploring.... Of course exploring isnt that fun unless you got mobs to dodge O.o (I had all my tele-crystals by level 5 without help, except for Yhoat.. needed keys -.-)

I love exploring zones (as long as I have a map O.o.... I remember going to Xarcabard for the first time.... so pretty.

While there is Server downtime I find myself doing things like washing my truck, doing stuff I have put off cause Im playing FF or just doing what any normal person does that has not yet found the greatness of FF (not sure if I pitty them or wish to be them):)

The only problem with offline content is it cant change any part of the game. You cant spend gil, raise crafting level, XP, race chocos, fish, or anything of the sort. The only thing i see myself doing offline is staning in my MH watching my tree saplings grow.
