Expansion and Number of PlayersFollow

Being that I am on one of the servers that SE was trying to move players from, to a less populated server. I'm curious as to how they are going to continue to introduce new players into each server. Will less populated servers get majority of the new players?

I ask because when I started playing there were a ton of newbie's just like me. It was fun to adventure and experience new things at the same time as a large majority of the Community. Heck we use to level on worms in the Maze of Shakaramhi. Now you just don't see any new players and everyone seems to be rank 5 or higher and has some sort of high level job.

I think it would be a breath of fresh air to get a large wave of new players onto my server. I always enjoyed helping new players out with a quest or showing them something that they haven't experienced before. Not knowing anything about how SE plans to distribute new subscribers amongst the servers, I have to say that I am concerned with not getting any new comers to my server.

Does anyone have any insight on to how SE will make sure that each server always have a good mix of new and veteran players?

Depending on the perceived demand, I'm guessing they'll do it as they always have.

1. Create some new servers to accomodate the incoming people.
2. People will be given the option to migrate to the new servers upon their creation.
3. New players will go to the server of the lowest population.

So assuming people from your server choose to migrate to one of the new servers, slots will open up for new players to go there.

The population of all servers is fairly balanced, overall - the only way one server gets more people than another, really, is a statically random higher use of worldpasses and a statistically lower use of server migration.

I don't think we'll see many new players. CoP certainly didn't bring any more, so there's no reason the next expansion will by itself. People seem to be assuming that the XBox360 version of the game will bring as many people as the PC and NA PS2 versions did, but that's pretty unlikely: almost everyone buying an XBox360 will already have a PS2 or PC, and will already be playing the game if they wanted to. People who can afford an XBox360 in the first year or so are going to have other consoles already.

So, I think we'll be a lot of existing players upgrading to the XBox360 version of the game, but I doubt well see many new players. I doubt we'll even notice them.

I think XI may get a few XBox fanboys, but then again, maybe not. I enjoy helping out new players, too, so hopefully, we will get a decent bunch of new players ^^
