There is *no combat* involved with this quest.

Starting NPC: Luto Mewrilah - upper jeuno

After starting the quest, you are to head to Windurst Waters Opistery (G-8) and speak with Tosuka-Porika

You will need to obtain the following foods and give them to Tosuka-Porika:
loaf of white bread
bowl of whitefish stew
windurst salad
serving of bison steak
serving of icecap rolanberry
pot of sandoria tea

Return to Luto, and you will head to port jeuno to talk to Khumo Daramasteh near the home point.

Quest reward: "You feel the bonds between you and your adventuring fellow strengthen!"

I did not seem to gain any new NPC options for doing this quest, nor was I able to open any new quests. My NPC was level 50 prior to starting the quest.

you think it's possible that this quest increases the amount of time the npc stays out? That's what I'm hoping.

Consider yourself lucky...on Phoenix atm, the price of Bison steak skyrocketed. It's gone from 9k to 150k in under 2 hours. I hope it drops back down so I can actually do this quest.

This could be the NPC limit break quest that they said they were going to introduce.

My NPC is 34 and I got the quest.

I doubt it's the limit break quest, but who knows?

Edit: Gwah! Someone beat me to it!

Everyone, do yourself a favor and do a somepage search on the items.
You can get almost everything at an NPC and not pay some outrageous prices.

I used my NPC for the first time since she hit 50 several weeks ago. There were a number of differences from the last time I summoned her:

-The HP bar. This was part of the update, and it is a wonderful thing.

-NPC notifying me that she's *using* a weapon skill. Before she'd notify me that she had TP (and she still does), but I don't remember her actually announcing the usage of a WS.

-NPC notifying me that the next battle would be her last for the day. I like this.

I can't tell if these are all new changes to the NPC system (except of course the first one), related to this quest at all, or if I accidentally toggled a different configuation setting that I missed from before the patch. I have not been able to obtain any new quests beyond what I've already posted.

I liked that too. I loved it when she was like "Think we should call it a night" when we were fighting. Added a lot of personality.

It's better than the previous non-notification... in case you pulled a mob.

I liked how they talk trash when using weaponskills. I can't wait to get further in-depth with the new quests after this one. I don't know what "strengthened" means but I enjoyed taking her for a spin in garlaige. I'll find out in 2 levels. :P

ok...
I dont think it ends there
after u talked to her...
she tells u that u need a dark metal...
I would suppose darksteel but it must not be it...
probably some rare/ex thing
it also mentions finding out who wrote looking glass legends...
I suppose its windy the place to look for that person
there is also that misterious person who lured the girl into eldime necropolis...
that person might still be in there....
so in my opinion there re 3 possible next steps...
1 unknown... probably a NM Pop drops it
and finding out who crafted the mirror could help us giving more info about it
but exploring eldeime necropolis through the same entrance u entered for npc quest is also a valid try
if anyone finds anything plz inform us ^^

Your NPC does not have to be 50 to do this quest. I just did it with mine, and she was level 35. I doubt this is the limit break quest.

***SPOILERS***

Is it possible that Yoran-Oran is going to get involved at some point in the future? Remember, he knew all about fixing the Mimeo Mirror in the CoP mission.

NPC Limit 1 is *after* this; from what I read in the .dat files, it involves some sort of NM Slime somewhere.

Beyond that, I'm not gonna be much help on this - everyone start looking for NM slimes, though. :->

According to Mystery Tour, all of these quests are started by Luto. I'm guessing they've now put a timer on doing the next quest in the series, and we'll all be able to trigger it after Japanese midnight.

#26 Oct 11 2005 at 1:04 AM Rating: Decent
slime?hmmm
ludo does say she will dig on some info about the book....
maybe is timer...
I think next npc may be yoran...
and the slime perhaps in toraimarai canal...
I suppose NM wont be easy....
coz ur npc must be around lvl 50 for u to do that...
so I guess it may be something lvl 75 can solo... but not that easily.... or lvl 55 party
