Good camp for Alraune for 32-33(34?) is (I-8).

Edit: Opo-Opo are lower level here. (T and few VTs at 33)

A good campsite for level 72-75 is in Lufaise meadows. Take the tunnel in J-8 (I think) to the area with Abraxas and Tavnazian rams. Camp right in the tunnel before it opens up. We were chain Abraxas (Giant Birds) for 150-210 xp. Very safe camp and a very easy mob to fight.

I camped here last night, so I thought I would add a few notes on these things.

First of all, this is a GREAT XP spot for 75 PTs, since you can find IT and VT mobs in great supply and hardly any competition.

The two mobs you would aim for are the Abraxas (Greater Bird) and the Tavzanian Rams (Ram).

The Abaraxas are mostly VT to 75, with a few ITs here and there. They are almost exactly like the Greater Birds in Valley of Sorrows; they hit quite hard and drop light crystals. There are lots of them around and they seemed to repop quickly.

The Tavzanian Rams are another thing altogether. They are all IT to 75s, and they hit like a truck. They have very strong Max HP Down and Line-Of-Sight AOE Petrify attacks. They make great chain enders, but I would only suggest fighting them with a Ninja tank and a WHM for Stona. If you have neither, I would suggest sticking to the Abraxas only.

2 obvious campsites that I saw: the first at J-7 near Blueblade Fell (watch for Fomors behind you), and the other at the SW corner of K-7 at the entrance of the tunnel. Lots of mobs, I imagine this place could support 2-3 parties quite well.

Area: Bibiki Bay
Level range: lv 61-64(?) *this is based on the party I had here
Enemy: Tragopan (bird type)
Camp: at entrance of tunnel at (F-6)

I'm a BLM, so I have no idea where exactly these spawn . . . do note that there is at least one bird pop in the tunnel. They DO link, but don't seem to aggro. -ga MB is NOT recommended from what I saw, there's a Tartarus Eft that likes to wander around near the camp (didn't want to risk hitting it, appeared to be within AoE range from my spot in the mage line).

Attacks:
Damnation Dive
Broadside Barrage

Wow! What an excellent resource!

You have done what I assumed would never be done, but always wanted to see! Seriously, I've REALLY wanted to see this information for a long time.

Thank you.

A side note about xp on the abraxus in lufaise. They are aspirable. Blms and rdm/blm was getting nice aspirs off these, which is very nice. However there is one bad thing about these, the cannot be slept, unless a taru blm with HQ dark staff or a rdm/blm just got very unlucky and got multiple resists.

Well... here's something I've never seen ANYONE doing, though I suspect it's more due to the sheer amount of travel time required for setup than anything else.

Zone: Fei'yin (!)
Camp: lower floor, Cloister of Frost zone (I-5)
Mobs: Killing/Hellish Weapons
Level Range: Um... 51-54, I believe.

From the one time I looked around here (trying to find Qu'Bia Arena at the time, oddly enough), there were something like six weapons down this tunnel. While I'm not certain on respawn times for them, it seems like a decent camp to be at.

Or at least a more interesting one...

read most of the OP, but one thing.

----

Camp: Worm Stairs (G-8)
PT Lv56-57 - Enemy: Spiders
Details: Sneak is required to get to this camp. Camp on the stairs with the Worms on them. Worms do not aggro.

----

Air elementals can pop on EVERY set of stairs in the zone.
This camp is not safe, the elementals will wreck a party of this level.

Camp: N. Sandy Zone
PT Lv19-22 - Enemy: Wasps
PT Lv19-22 - Enemy: Beetles

Great post, but unfortunately this one is way off. I gathered a group of LS people and talked a random WHN to come to Sandy to join us. Most of us were 18 (one person was 17, one was barely into 19), and all the mobs conned DC-EM (a rare orc was a little tougher). We tried right at the Sandy zoneline, in deeper by the docks, and in as far as you can go (in this section of CL).

It's really too bad, as I was excited to XP there. Perhaps at a much lower level a party would have success there.

First off, fabolous thread. This coupled with Mystery Tour really assist party leaders in deciding what the best camp is to level at.

I'd like to add in that you can level in Attowah Chasm as early as level 57-58. The Lizards and Flys will con IT to you at the F-6 camp (Typically where you level off of lizards and Antlions).

If you head south from the F-6 camp, you can find a massive amount of Cutlass Scorpions that will con IT to a level 58-59 player.

My favorite thing about this zone is that it almost seems that there is no one there. Last PT I was in there, there were two BSTS and my PT in the entire zone.

I'll admit I have a headache and may be imagining things, but I'm sure I read in the guide that the Nest beetles in Crawler's Nest aggro.

They don't, but they do link horribly. Got my butt handed to me on a bad pull when I wound up with half the room instead of just one. I have fun scaring the heck out of my parties by running up to one and having nothing happen because a lot of people assume they aggro.

Oh, and for anyone that camps there, that beetle that pops in the tunnel is on a 15 minute timer. Keep that in mind when pulling and you'll never have a problem with a link on the way back.

As far as the beetles go in that place, Nest beetles link, Blazer beetles and Helm beetles both aggro and link.

Great guide, btw.

P.S: Go Odin! ^^

P.P.S: Well, I guess it's time to try fleshing this thing out some more then... /cheer Tacitus ^^

Wonderful thread, I'd just like to add that nest beetles DO aggro if they don't con too weak, and so do helm beetles in crawlers nest.

Only things that don't aggro are worker crawlers, the saplings, and the lizards in the first sac room.

Not sure if this was mentioned already, but was in a 70ish PT and we camped just outside the Mineshaft #2716. Basically, gamble with Twinkbrix (E-13) at the east N. Gustaberg entrance to Oldton, and get the key item. The he'll warp you to the Mineshaft #2716 entrance for 2k. Zone out into Newton Movalpolis and that's your camp. We just pulled whatever, it was easy exp. Should mention that an Earth Elemental spawned there, so that could be troublesome.

i'm using this to update my pdf file. (it can be downloaded at http://www.kharvey.com/ffxi/files.htm )

you haven't tried Ranguemont Pass or Beadeaucine Glacier. from 25-30 in Ranguemont pass stay on the Beadeaucine zoneline and pull stirge. they do aggro and link, so you must be constantly watching for pops. when xp goes down you can zone outside for gob and tiger that is near that zoneline (or at outpost) until 35 and then go down to the eastern side for more goblin until 40. the 5th tier gobs are weaker than their gustav counterparts. if you do go into the glacier, camp in the canyons.
