How long have you played EQ?
I logged into my main character today and for shizz and giggles, I typed /play and got this response:
Aaikan's birthdate: Wednesday, February 23rd, 2000 21:28:44
Total time playing Aaikan: 372 days, 13 hours and 10 minutes
Cool that tomorrow is my toon's birthday, but damn! That's more than 1 year of sitting in a chair in front of a desk, playing online!
I know there are still a lot of old-schoolers that still play. But even if you're not an old school player, it's kind of interesting to look at this data.

Just last week I tallied up my total playtime from all of my toons. I didn't add in the characters that I used while boxing, I just wanted a grand total time spent playing. The grand total was around 10,000 hours (around 415 days). It was jolting to realize just how long that really is and I started to wonder what all I could have done with that time, even if it was just complete a bunch of other games that I wanted to play and never got the chance. But then I realized I still had tons of fun and amazing experiences playing EQ that I would not change for anything.

Sure, some of that time is just logged in, chatting or being mostly /afk while doing work on other computers. But sure is a lot of time. Like Rayder, I have no regrets. I don't think...
What's truly scary this is just the one toon and I know I've spent a lot of time on other toons, including the same druid, same name on other servers. Plus my first toon was a warrior that I did play even earlier and for quite awhile before making this druid.
Since I box, I can't realistically do like Rayder and add the times on all my toons since it would total up longer than I've been alive, I suspect.

What really scares me is that I have dozens of chars spread over many servers with nearly equal or even more played time. For most of that time, I also worked one main job and often held several part time jobs. My main question is can I use a /sleep command to see if I actually got any.......

I've played off and on since 2004. As for the number of characrters, I had 150... deleted some. Now I have 170 characters on multiple accounts. Are they cloning themselves ?!

Velious was the current expansion when I started playing. It was the end of an era. :(
