What do you spend most of your in-game time doing?Follow

Ok, who's the one with the bad attitude? Look at your name. EverloreSuxUr?!? "Your mom's an Assling"?!? What's up with that? Not to mention the only purpose of you leaving your post was to trash talk. I hope Suzycue does move to the Tribunal, just so you quit. The people who play and enjoy the game for what it is, don't need lippy punks like you playing.

Besides, I completely agree with Suzycue. With all the changes in the game over the past few years, it's taken much of the adventure away (for me that is). I remember when traveling from Qeynos to Freeport was an adventure in itself. It took over an hour and that's if you didn't get killed running through the Karana's or Kithicor Forest. I remember when my heart started to race when I left Rivervale and ran to the Commonlands. I'm sure you don't remember hunting "KFC" while waiting for one of the Spires to open in S. Karana. Do ya?

FYI - KFC is the Aviak Tower in S. Karana. For those who didn't already know that.

Raiding, raiding, raiding. Actually "I spend my time hitting a complete heal hotkey" should be an option Smiley: tongue . My guild raids 5-6 days per week on that push for Time access. I get Friday nights, Saturday morning/early afternoon, and Sunday mornings as my grinding aa time or play an alt time. During those times, I am usually exclusively in a guild/friend group. If I play an alt, I'm usually soloing as groups are hard to come by at lvl 58 and 15.

Many similar comments which bear addresing.

The tutorial rarely has less than 20 people in it on my server, usually 30+. I think it is time to establish a clear chain of grouping for xp zones. Make them the ones with no bad faction hits (i.e., crushbone is bad for dark elves). So For example put a mad xp bonus on Kurn's Tower. Paludal has this to some extent but the layout of the zone causes issues when 20+ people try and grind in there.

If there was a clear "best place" to xp 10-55 then those places would be busier and waste less of the casual players time. At the same time, the other zones would be there for the soloer and small group that wants to enjoy things other than levelling.

Either do it by revamping a few zones or by creating a few more locked-out by level range zones. The locked out way works well because then you can put in nice (for the level) no-drop gear and not have higher levels farming for boxed alts.

One of the nicest things about the tutorial is that you did not have high level druids babysitting a PLer that was taking the whole zone. Most people actually needed to group to do the boss mobs.

Or just put a mad xp bonus on all under 50 zones. Make being in a shroud at least = to regular xp. The best thing to repopulate the lower game for people trying to level that 34 cleric would be for 20-40 shrouding to give better xp...

Ignoring the ebay factor, then you would have the experienced players (in shrouds) grouping with the new people... at least to some extent. Improve the xp bonus for grouping (5+ members) for levels 10-40.

I would just like to see Najena, The Overthere and the Karanas busy again. (some of my favourite places).

As far as decent quest appropriate to level, loot drops worth the effort, etc. that is another matter for the under 55 crowd.

Hello Guy's,

I'll Break it down for you I spend 12-16 hours a day playing EQ.
On a 12 Hour day (Witch is 35% of the time) I solo for 4-6 Hours Maybe group for a hour or 2 and raid 5-6 hours a day.

When I play 16 hour days (34% of the time) I solo for 8-10 hours a day, group for 1-2 hours and Raid 5-6 hours a day.

Days (or Raid day off) in-between I solo 70-80% of the day and 20-30% Pick-up raid.

In the past befor I solo like I do, and did only grouping, I looked for groups for up to 3 days(thats 6-10 hours a day /lfg) with out a tell and raided 5-6 hours on those days.So Grouping sux.

Some days 5-10 times a year I spend 8-10 hours a day Trade skilling up, but thats when i build up items to trade skill and as you know that takes a long long time.

My Friends list has 60-70 people, but on average i get 1 friend on-line in a day, and that is if i'm lucky.

Some time in the year I quest stuff and thats all day every day till the quest is done ( but i always make raid with guild no matter what for the 5-6 hours a day, but than back to quest).

I Help friends and guild mates when they call on me but that doesn't happen unless there's a Expantion that just came out of it a long quest like a Epic or Bic or Tounga or something along those lines.

I know i left out like 31% well that when I'm helping guild mates or friends, do-in quest or trade skilling up. But I always raid every raid day even when i'm sick and on-line for the 5-6 hours a day.

So after this break down, what would you say I spend the most time do-in in the game????

I am not sure why people have a hard time leveling... (insert cheesy grin here) Me and my wife play a lot together... and yes I admit that I do a lot of power lvling with her and she lvls me also when we get bored... but in just a few (and I mean a FEW) hours I can have her up to lvl 30... just a couple more hours and up to 40 rest for a while.. and then on up to 50 and so on... using those same (XP BONUS) zones. and that's just the 2 of us... maybe a little outside help from getting kei when needed.. but then again we can do that ourselves also. We just prefer to give back to others who take the time to sit in the pok or what not to cast on the little guys. heh heh.

Kind of gives you an idea what we do the most.. lol.

I guess I picked the right class cuz I solo a ton, and usually have a guildy or two show up for a bit to keep me company. Im rarely lfg. If i really want to group, i log on my cleric, which kinda bugs at times cuz i try soloing the cleric, but the xp isnt really worth it when i can only solo lt blues or barely dark blues, haha.

Yes a past where you would join a group that had a 6 : 6 people to PC ratio -vs- the boxed abortion of personality group ratio of 3 : 6 you tend to find now days

Abortion?
I consider "good" three boxers like myself anything but the brain dead abortion you speak of.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

P.S.: Get over yourself.

I wish half the people that were LFG would answer tells and take whats offered to them instead of sitting LFG hoping something from above is gonna come down and take them where they want to go. I get so annoyed when I find someone LFG to fill in spots for xp, when they get to group and suddenly want to take the group somewhere else that suits them. If they were that good, why were they not there already?

I selected pick up groups, but I spend my time soloing/boxing until I get a group (sometimes my whole playing time for the night). Being a 70 Beastlord I can usually tell when I'm about to get an invite, no shamans on? 4 beasts or less on? Tell incoming in 60 seconds, 59, 58...

Also, I have lesson on my 52 Chanter so I put up lfg and box until I decide to build my own group of whoever is on. Almost impossible to find a 50's group.

Regards,
Blacknose 70 Beastlord, Sahbolae 66 Cleric (totally PL'ed), Troth 66 Paladin (retired), Fastsole 65 Druid, Dragonstail 55 Monk, Sisyx 52 Enchanter, all of The Nameless.

I marked other for the simple fact that ever since the server merges, I spend a lot of my time getting the dreaded "Can not connect to the server",even after logging in and selecting my character,or the endless LDs when zoning or LDs just playing ...
The other day I tried to log on for 1hr and 6 min,I was actually in game for 7 min,the rest of the time I was selecting character then getting LD'd when it tried to enter the zone. Then when trying to re=log it giving the message you already have a character in game...
Today,I went LD when zoning from Guild Lobby to guild hall, then after getting back on I went LD from zoning from Guild Lobby to POK,later LD zoning from Neriak to Nektulos Forest.Gets aggravating.
My family has 5 pc's set up in my house for EQ,we are all playing on 64 bit processors and over 1gig ram on all the pc's.Great video cards. We have excellent gaming pc's and they play well in game, just the servers rarely cooperate lately. It is quite aggravating to have a group that is ready to go only to have one or more members continually going LD all night. And yes, we have the pc's set up to run properly and all that,we have been playing EQ for over 4 years. It simply is poor server service and maintenance.Ask around and you will see plenty of others that are griping about the server service or rather LACK of it.
While EQ is a great game,it tends to get tedious and aggravating when the servers simply won't handle the players on line.

Where is the option for "sitting on my *** looking for group"?
#72 Oct 12 2005 at 5:14 AM Rating: Decent
I picked something else since there is no "all of the above" selection. I try to get in a group if not i do what ever comes to mind. I do a lot of trade skills thou.
#73 Oct 12 2005 at 8:51 AM Rating: Decent
Ok, I usually drink spiced rum until I practically fall over then fish (usually for tattered sandals)...I guess that would be tradeskilling despite the fact that I have both my alcohol tolerance and my fishing maxed yet I still drunken fish so maybe it is not tradeskilling since I don't actually advance in skill. But hey EQ is kind of like a reality game to me since I drunken fish in RL alot too and EQ drunken fishing gets me through the winter. The game has alot to offer to alot of different people. I am glad EQ is advancing beyond the hardcore computer gamers and is trying for a universal appeal. My buddy who is a cliche toughbeat police veteran loves playing and I have an exotic dancer friend that plays. Neither of them would have ever even considered playing back in the so-called "golden age" of EQ. I myself remember playing for like 10 minutes almost 6 years ago and never playing again until 2 years ago which even then it took some time to figure things out. I just hope EQ doesn't wear themselves thin trying to appeal to everyone and make it into a game no one really likes.

Really need to add the option Looking for Group to this poll!

Well, if you have most of the expansions, maxing your tradeskills will prove very useful...reference Signet of Might and Signet of the Arcane quests. =)

I am a soloing Druid who has just come back after a year off. I belong to a wonderful Guild and get to listen to the constant chat from guildies. It makes those boring DOT camps in Umbral bearable.

I will always TP folks and every once in awhile I help out friends in groups. I dnn't group in 'pick-up' groups anymore. I just enjoy putzing around and leveling up slowly.
