Ok with the new DoN Trade Skills I am just about ready to start on my Black Smithing. I was wondering if the finished products (Expert's) symbols or gear could be Vendored or turned in for Tribute. Being the market is flooded with this crud I don't see any point in trying to sell it to fellow PCs.

No.

You cannot tribute the Attunable DoN Armor before or even after you attune it.

Not sure about DoN augs, but I would guess no as well.

Dot is correct, neither the armor or augs are worth squat for tribute and cannot be sold to vendors.

Sucks, doesn't it??

At least with LDoN smithed armor, you get decent tribute.

What level smith are you and what level is your character? I may have some tips for you for leveling up.

My druid is currently leveling up smithing farming Hollowshade Moor for the no-drop Wailing/Shrieking substances. Pretty easy for a level 60 to clear out the islands when the Owl/Dogs are ruling. Humming Orbs will take you to 168. Harder for a low level character to get the drops.

Past skill level 168, on another character, I did a more than a few sessions with Fine Plate. I farmed the leather padding. You have to buy the rest of the ingredients (MQ ore does not drop anywhere). That takes you to the 180s or so.

After that skillups get slow, and I do the odd LDoN plate when I have Temper Materials and a buyer or user. After DoN came out I got a few skillups on those too. I have 3 or 4 DoN plate arms gathering dust on my bazaar mule. I have sold a few though to cut costs. Nice thing about High Elf DoN, if I farm the fungus sap for the Expert armor, each arm combine (triv 212 iirc) costs me 24pp for Mithril, much less than the Fine Plate combines, but then you could sell Fine Plate back to NPCs for a good portion of what it costs.

I am Troll with a Black Smith skill of 172. I am currently doing Enchanted Velium Bits trivail at 222 with a cost of 18p per combine provided you have the velium. I can get 100 combines in a couple hours in Velks Lab. Thought about the Vah Shar anvil and hammer quest to do shadowscream decided it was too much of a pain.

For easier time on Velium Bits (EVBs), go to Tizmak caves in GD and hunt them for their velium weapons. Use the fairly new velium reclaim smithing recips to get velium pieces. Probably a lot faster than Velks IMO. Once you get to 222, I bet you will rethink the Shar Vhal thing as I said what you said and now (at 231 skill) have no other reasonable path and have completed the quest. Now just mindless farming.

Either way good luck.
