when i was a young cleric i used to farm the wedding floor in ToFS (tower of frozen shadow) mobs drop about 5pp each (also fine steel weapons), and the golem ushers drop lots of velium. you can break the velium down into small pieces and still sell them for about 20-30pp each. also a melee ring and caster ring drops off the named bride and groom. it "used" to sell real nice, but now, on drinal anyway they are down to about 200pp only.

Dothammer, one thing... did i say i got 100K off of hill giants?no
Did I imply you did? I merely said I doubt you (or anyone) could make 100Kpp off Hill giants. YOU are the one who felt the need to bring up the fact that you have 100Kpp so your tips must be good. And the only 'tip' you offered was to hunt Hill Giants. Please spare us.

Most people here are sick and tired of plat-making threads for several reasons. Most people know about the Hill Giants and if they don't they soon find out. This is not a tip. Every scamming plat-making/EQ Secrets website/guidebook has this tip included(for a nominal fee of course).

If you need ideas for making plat, just ask. But don't pretend you are giving up something with 'Hill Giants'.

Well, when I am not grouped I usually head to Dulak's for some XP and loot at this point.

Why, Gem drops and non-casters when playing on the ships and docks. Also some Zhaxril weapons go for 4-5+pp each. Each kill is 4-5pp on average and then blue diamonds go for 198p with lousy charisma.

So basically crawling along at a snail's pace I still make decent cash per trip out there 250+pp per hour or so.

If you can multi box, duo, group and kick up the kill rate and not **** anyone off taking over the zone you should be able to make some serious pp.

Plus if you are patient enough you can get some of the nicer drops of the Captains and such.

Sounds like a standard 30-60 play ground to begin with and you still get to play and make some cash too.

Ok hear is my secret till lv 35-40
farm Butcherblock I kill goblins for there blood and heads and Wandering ogre and loot insignia 4.8pp ea also kill every skunk that gets in my way and loot there claws 1.8pp everything dies in one swat so it don't take long I average about 200pp an hour if no one is in the zone. I once made just over 500pp in 2 hrs. I always defer to lower lvs and share my secret with them.
I give all my copper to my lv10 dwarf warrior to take to the tutorial and give to some unsuspecting noob. you should hear when they can't move after I hand them a big O stack of copper hehe

matt: Don't be pedantic.

I stand by my statement. If you cant read that is your problem. I was not implying you said you got 100Kpp farming HGs.

I said 'I doubt you got 100kpp farming HGs'

Meaning: Why are YOU bringing up this fact [that you have 100kpp]? To show us what exactly? That farming HGs will somehow bring vast riches? Then you edit your OP to put up an equally lame tip about farming WoS. Everybody and his brother's level 70 does that.

Farming Draniks for semi-rare aug drops is not a secret either.

Spare us.

OP: If you have a 65 druid running around in Rathe for money, you have a serious problem.

Edit: Hrm.. I suppose I could borrow the Guild Druid for ports to Grimling and bind at a forge, like PoK, where I leave Cachet.. hrm.. maybe.

Ok.. price check. Thanks. =)

Edit, edit: You know, I really should do this in Velks for Velium.

Instead of bothering with the druid, bind close to where you are farming and use Worker Sledgemallet, sell, gate. This has been invaluable for my chanter when I'm after stuff in Siren's Grotto.

If you're looking for velium in Velks I have found the drops to be significantly higher on the velium spiders in the 'pit' area plus they also occassionally drop spells and items that sell fairly well in the bazaar.

Velks is also a great place to farm items for tribute if you're into that. Some of the drops there I couldn't give away but tribute for thousands (or they did the last time I checked them).

Can melees bind in Velks? Weird FV ruleset thing with binding..
#38 Oct 08 2005 at 12:51 AM Rating: Decent
No he is thinking of dif server Felicite you cant bind there. Dorf city is close but hell with book in GD so is PoK might as well just stay there.

Ya I was doing something or other and ended up with quite a bit of Acryila and based on my previous incarnations was like woohoo gonna be rich I ended up vendoring it all as it sat on my trader for over a month at like 1pp over sell price to vendor. I started higher but worked my way down. Havent tried Velium so not sure on demand on that been a while since I was anywhere it dropped decent. I never really hunted in velks so dont know what drops it there but orcs in crystal caverns have a nice drop rate ( need raid) and there is a city right in there to sell at where your faction goes up (well now) the more orcs you kill. Also as mentioned the wedding level the ushers are nice with velium.

Sadly I recently did the 8th Velium ring (started on 9th but then realize what a pita it would be to solo that cycle in kael) and got a bunch of orc fang earings, mail and such and the earings sold decent like 50pp each and the rest was a joke.

Demand on velium is still pretty good, (not as good as it was back in the day :P), probably hugely due to velium gemmed long swords and the like.

I never considered breaking down my velium to get more ore, so thanks for that idea, it is pretty sexy!
