I use Wineq and Eqplaynice, the pro versions. I like it a lot. With Wineq you get picture in picture so you can always see what your other character is doing. The Eqplaynice cuts down on the framerate of the window that your not looking at saving cpu cycles and ram. Nice combo for 2-4 boxing and well worth the money.

I run Felicite on one machine, Cachet and Aumnyder on the other. I use no software (just alt-tab). But it would be nice to be able to run a few more sessions (I have access to many more accounts).. you may actually get me to buy.

WinEQ makes boxing simple but I suggest defining global keys if you run more than 3 eq games on one machine since alt tabbing aint fast enough when it gets hairy.

I use Wineq with a programable keypad 3 accounts 1 key stroke switches the the character needed activates a macro/hotkey and switches back to the main account in less then 2 sec.

Hmmm I might check this out too, I recently got an old account reinstated and switching characters on 1 box takes me like 5-10 seconds atm so its not very fargin useful to use the other box for much more then a trader bot.

That's odd.. alt-tab takes me like no time at all. Like fast enough to cast a heal on the cleric while Euphoria is casting on the enchanter and get back in time to cast slow in the enchanter again.

there are several advantages to using the wineq.

1. faster to get started, don't have to run the patcher.
2. when one account is zoning, you don't lose the cursur.
3. the minimised instance takes up less cpu resourses because of eqplaynice built in.

i am loveing it that i re installed the new eqwin.

sure running it the old way, with windows just windowed, and using alt+tab works..but the advantages of eqwin to me are worth the 5 min to go get the program.

After reading this thread, this sounds like a great way for me to be able to 3-box. I currently run two seperate pcs to 2-box. After looking at Lavish Soft's website and EQ Windows's site, I am confused. I assume these are competing products. Does EQ Windows do the same thing that Win EQ and EQPlayNice do? What all do I need? I don't mind paying for a program that will help me enjoy EQ more so the premium one is probably more what I want.

Sounds like Lavish took over the originally wineq and made it wineq2 and added eqplaynice to it. From looking at the forums, it sounds like some are having issues with performance. Is this a big issue or just happening to a few people?

EQ Windows is a product that hasn't been updated since April 04 I think, Lavish Soft's Win EQ and EQPlayNice are very good, the guy even answers questions left on the forum associated with his site the same day. I highly recomend them.Smiley: yippee

I have WinEQ pro it handles a varity of games nice point The only flaw I have noticed minor as it is the program updates its self every time it is started up. Sometimes on login with the update EQ will not work but when ever he does an update he is on the website fixing errors. I have never been down for more then an hour
