I was wondering where the highest uninterrupted plummet is in all of EQ and dont say the Hole cause theres a zone line there, or the PoA cause of the same reason, I WANT TO GO HALFLING SUICIDE JUMPING

My first thought is the ice bridges in IceClad.

Maybe I'll think of more later.

If you take the bridge from Iceclad to Eastern Wastes and zone into Eastern Wastes, the bridge looks mighty high also.

I can't believe nobody's said the obvious answer: right by the zoneline to Highpass at the top of the EK cliff ramp.

The other place that I think may trump that is the top of one of the giant spires in the Dreadlands.

I am not completly sure it is the longets drop in EQ but it is a really fun one (for me anyway) there is what seems to be a High Dive Platform into Lake Raith. If I remember the is even a quest related to it. Jumping off the platform with your friends make for some fun screens.

That would be my guess as well.

The long falls I can think of (other than PoSky and The Hole) are: off the top layer of Velketor's, down the PoK Library elevator shaft, off the ramps in the City of Mist or Plane of Torment.

As some of you may already know in DoD there are 2 zone ins to stoneroot falls. The first is the normal way and u do not fall anwyhere.

The second is south the normal one and is near water and when u zone in the fall is extremly long with lev. From the the top to the water it might the close of to even the highhold pass one.

Off of the top of the waterfall in the very northeast corner in Stonebrunt where the beastlord 1.0 epic wisp fight is has to rank way up there. It is insanely high and hard to reach with levi. Done it last night with guildy and forgot just how high it is.

The cliff in Emeral Jungle is very nasty.

how about the cliff that has killed the most....

brings to mind two for me

going to kael the first time, running right off that cliff and dying at the bottom... splat!

another is in emerald jungle running straight out from zone in, right off the cliff... splat!

both got me first time i ever was in those zones

lol, i got directions to kael, goto GD, then EW and turn right and follow the zone wall all the way to kael, they forgot to mention the cliff near entrance. same with the one in EJ was headed to CoM for the first time. ahh the momories.

The bridge just inside the East Waste is great. As a newbie I tried to look over the edge once, and of course fell off. It was a fun fall and an even more fun CR. haha

Some other long drops:

The Overthere - The big chasm in the center of the zone.

The Frontier Mountains - Various high mountains to choose from. Also the best zone to raise your Safe Fall skill (Monks/Rogues/Bards?) if you just run around the zone wall.

The City of Kelethin.

this is a good question. the best jump i know that you can jump off and survive is from b2 in paludal, if you hit the water in the bottom.
Another huge one is from the top of katta castellum down to the bank area.

The highest single-zone drop in /loc clicks is from the top of the giant Combine spires in Dreadlands, as far as I know. There used to be a list but I think it was only current up through Luclin so there might be higher drops in PoP+ zones. Still, I'm pretty sure it beats the PoK library elevator shaft.

Despite your disclaimer, I would think that the drop into the Hole from Paineel is farthest. It's by far the longest time spent airborne, in terms of seconds - even discounting the zone.

One fall that's rather large is the drop from the brige at the gob fort in warsliks woods. May not be the biggest but i sure am glad i'm a monk.

How about the bridge in the bloodfields, good place to bungee jump.

/agree Iamweaver... depending on lag my drop tonite into The Hole timed at 6.3 seconds. Obvious /splat for 20K.

He did say not the hole, but FWIW... 6.3 seconds. Otherwise, they used to do GM Halfling diving events on Drinal from the top of a cliff in Rivervale...

The giant Combine Spires are great for skydiving. I used to jump with my cleric and see how long I could fall before casting DA. Unfortunately, I don't remember.

My vote is definatly for the Hole as well.

We had a group heading in to help a Shammy with epic work and that drop was awesome! Even standing on the edge of the cliff and looking down gave you that vertigo feeling. Smiley: yikes

One of our party must have nudged his keys a bit because as 5 out of 6 landed with a splach....one went SPLAT! Smiley: grin

I used to start singing my bar's levitate song and then jump down the PoK elevator shaft at the halfway point. Lev would (usually) take effect just before I made contact. I read a thread once where someone talked about jumping off the giant Combine spires and having a mage CotH her back on top while she was in free-fall. Smiley: eek
