All:

Well, I know there's the new LF guild tool in the lobby, but that doesn't have much detail about the guild itself, so I thought I'd try posting here and getting some feedback from you folks.

Basically, I'm looking for a guild that's primarily group focused, with some raiding (2x-3x a week would be a nice compromise), but not required attendance. I'm in the Pacific Standard time zone, available around 5pm on the days that I play.

I'm hoping for a guild with a fairly sizable 60+ population for grouping, but haveing lower levels around would be nice as well, as I enjoy mentoring people just starting the game.

I'm time flagged, as well as all Tier 3 Elementals, and tradeskill on most of my alts (209 Research on the Necro).

In any case, here's a link to my Magello, if that helps anything. It's not totally accurate, as Magello stopped working before I finished out 65, so there are a few aas and a few pieces of gear that have been upgraded since then. Hoping to make 68 tonight; it should be an attainable goal. Oh, also recently began the long trek back from Dark Reign faction to Norath's Keepers, if that has a bearing on the guild's orientation.

When I was on Veeshan, I was in the guild Infinite Odyssey. They're a pretty raid-heavy group and good people all around. I haven't kept up with them much in the past few months, but they've been raiding Time from what I've seen. I bailed from the whole raiding scene in the midst of Vex Thal flagging with them - just not much of a raider.

Check them out, and if they ask for a referral, tell em Debalic sent you. Smiley: grin

Ah, you DO know the servers all merged? It's Luclin (Veeshan) now.

Hehe - yep, I realized I'd used the wrong server name right after I made the initial post. Unfortunately, the edit function here doesn't seem to allow you to change the subject of the thread. I figured you guys would understand which server I meant.

Oh yeah - Veeclin. I thought it was rather moronic that they replaced the old server names (Veeshan being one of the originals I believe) with the newer ones. And since I abandoned the server during mergers (ok, I still have a 52 ranger there) I'm not gonna bother remembering that it's now "Luclin".

I'm sure you are aware of why the names are the way they are, and chose to be moronic about it. The server name with the higher population was retained, then after protests, it was put to a vote, and not one name changed. Live with it.

Veeshan lost to Luclin by a margin of less than 2%, I believe. And yes, it remains a stupid decision.

For the OP, most Time or above guilds will probably have requirements along the lines of level 69 or 70, and a certain number of AA. Many will have specific AA requirements depending on class. Having access to Fire, you can probably get that easier than most.

Around that point of progression what comes to mind are Heroes, Infinite Odyssey, Endorean. Above that you have guilds like Sheep. As you noted, you can also look at the recruiting board in the Guild Lobby, and send a tell asking to talk to an officer to a random member. Best of luck, there are still good times in Norrath, whatever they call your server, lol.
