You get exp if you win, and you get loot if you win. However if you lose you get absolutely nothing to show for it.

They are fun. The Orc mission in Nektulous Forest I have been doing in about 30 minutes for 125% AA xp at level 70. Much better for me personally than spending the same time in DoN or Riftseekers grinding xp and having to worry about staying alive. Monster Missions are stress free once you figure out the strategy for each.

You get loot sometimes when u win and xp too. Not to mention they are fun if they are not bugged. Personally I'd rather just play my druid and not be a monster but people love these monster missions too much

To me, it's like P/L'ing yourself.

You get good exp, and learn nothing about how to play your char.
It's VERY effective at getting xp. About 125% of an aa at any level (tried a lev 51, level 65, level 69... all got 125% of aa).

You get to be an ________(fill in monster name).
You get to do an (usually) easy task.
You get the XP.

It is a boring way to play, but so is P/L'ing.
So is soloing.

It's faster when u have a lot of (for example) aa's and want to knock them out quickly.

Like other P/L'ing, you're cheating yourself, if you don't know how to play your char. I've seen clerics and mages and paladins who get to 69 and are useless in crucial situations, becuase they were P/L'ed.

XP isn't everything. But if you want XP, the Monster Missions are a VERY effective way of getting it.

So let me get this straight.

I am a level 51 Chanter.

I buy the latest expansion, register it, then do a monster mission.

I get 125% of AA exp upon completion if successful??? Takes less then an hour???

If this is true, I would be stupid not to try this missions.

Please verify.

It is unlikely that you will get quite that much xp at your level.

However, compared to anything else you can do, it would still be ungodly amounts of xp.

so yeah, if your not doing the missions, your missing out.

Unlikely or not, that is how much exp you get when you do some of the Monster Missions. I cant say "all" since I've not done all of them.

1.25 aa. Not 1.25%, but 125%. For about 15 min of play time.

Last nite we had a 51, 59, 58, 61, 65 and 69 lev in our group.
Every one of us got 125% aa per mission (we were at the WC camp).

The mission itself was baby-simple. Find 10 eggs, kill a guard, kill a merchant. Claim your reward. There are occasional armor drops of nice armor.

Took us 7-10 min to do. There is a 30 min. timer on repeats.

Figure it out for yourself. 40 min. 125% aa.

NO limit on players levels either. You can do reg. exp. if you like, and get varying amounts of xp, since the xp you need is so varied. What you need for a 30 level char to level is obviously not the same as for a 69.

But it is awesome xp, far outstripping what I've gotten in Creator DoN, MPG, WOS or anywhere else.

I'll do it some, to grind aa's, but do it only where it replaces P/L'ing. Otherwise you're cheating yourself.

The Butcherblock one is rad. You become a pirate (the Gunthak pirate model is used) and raid Freeport, killing Militia and merchants and other NPCs while collecting "plundered treasure." It's also like trying out a new class at a higher level, sometimes, too. Being a Rogue in the BB mission gives you all their abilities up to level 55 (although casters in the missions are severely limited to their basic functions without much variety).

Like every new expansion that has come out, this one offered fun and exciting ways to get massive xp and decent loot for minimal risk. Like all previous expansions, they were nerfed in quick order as has this one been. As of last night (9/20) a successful Pirate mission only yielded 26% of an AA at level 52.
So maybe Sony has reached their quota on DoDH expansion sales.

i am curious if all MM can be done by varied lvls in the same group. I mean members with vast lvl spans. if so, one of the main points of MM would be to bring people together that normaly couldn't play and exp together.

if this is the case, this is one of the best thought out things since shared bank space ;-)

yes, you can do varied levels.I am 69 and my friend who just started is 16 we grouped with a 35 a 47 a 65 and a 66 and did a mission just fine.
