Since the new patch I downloaded an hour ago, I can't start the game anymore, after the PLAY button the eqgame.exe crashes and the game closes...normal exe crash, isn't written anything special about the crash. Am I the only one with the problem?

ok I'm not the only one with this problem, just the only one who's communicating his panick xD

Nope you're not the only one. Same thing is happening to me. Been looking for any info in regards, but no luck yet.

Yes looks like it is happening to everbody... don't panic Mr Mannering, Im sure normal service will be resumed when the patch is finished.

1 - delete your eq.ini(everquest.ini ?) file and rerun patcher (backup old file before though)
2 - check your firewall settings (if you have one), and renew access to all EQ related exe files

No don't bother, honestly .. NOONE can get it ... go take a peak for yourself if you don't believe me.

i just dont like the idea that i will have to patch later i like patching early because im only on dialup =(

oh yeah i flipped out i was like oh what the hell, game keeps crashing... oh well guess i'll just go play guildwars then...

Mine works now but they are patching again
they repatched the directx9 file and all is well now.
