Below the Field of Bone QuestFollow

I've got a little problem with the "Below the Field of Bone" quest...
First I hailed the captured guard at the beginning, who tells me to kill the Burynais upstairs (6 to kill) I did this, ok...

After that I have to kill the Burynai Rock Seer, but I was unable to find him, where is he :/? (searched the tunnels, downstairs)

Then I read this about the Burynai Necromancers, could it be that I first have to kill Burynai Necromancers before the Rock Seers appears or what?

pls help thx

I just did this quest last night. I have my own question about it, but first I will state what I know about your question.

The Burynais upstairs are the Burynai necromancers. That objective appears after talking to the first caravan guard and is listed as (opt) which I took to mean optional. I received a message after killing six of the necros upstaairs that said something about the mobs retreating to the lowest level. At first there appeared to be no mobs underground following that message, but they soon began to repop.

The location for the Rock Seer given in the quest description here on Alla's was exactly right for me and my group. It is on the lowest level near the Field of Bone exit. Since we had already killed the necros, I don't know if he pops before or after that objective is complete, but if it is reallt optional, it must not be required to get him to spawn.

Now, my question is, How are you supposed to be able to get out of the zone after killing the Rock Seer? The Field of Bone exit didn't seem to work, neither did talking to any of the NPC's on that lowest level, and I was under the impression that there is no way back up from that level.

Fortunately for us, I could gate back to PoK, turn in the last item to complete the quest for the whole group, then the others just removed themselves from the quest and were kicked out within a few minutes. But this would have failed the quest if we hadn't had someone who could gate.

Any ideas?

The necromancer part is totally optional. When doing the quest write-up I killed the Rock Seer first, then got booted to the first floor trying to zone out and discovered the injured caravan guard who gave me the step of killing the necromancers. When I did it, the task didn't say to kill them until after they were all dead so I never found out how many were needed.

I also couldn't zone out. Had to camp, go to the stuck character chatroom and have a GM move my character to PoK. Yes I informed the devs of this slight predicament and they said they'd look into it. I assumed it was fixed, but apparently not.

To find the Rock Seer, head down into the basement, then jump down the pit into the caverns. Not many people go down there which is why I imagine you got confused. He spawns in the large open room right before the Field of Bone zone line.

I also had this problem...I was 2 boxing this quest with my shammy and necro. And like you, I was fortunately able to gate with both of them....but I kept wondering what if I couldn't. The funny thing was, after I killed the seer, I thought, "okay, there's the zone line....I'll just make a mad dash past those 50 more mobs there and zone out." Boy would I have been surprised. Fortunately, I listened to reason and made my necro go invis...and went and investigated the zone line, only to find it wouldn't do anything.
