When Rage of the Wookies came out, there was a gift for downloading and one for purchasing the box. Both were different, then there was an ingame gift for purchasing the Total Experience.

That's not really clear to me. If the boar mount is like a little statuette or something, then that's fine, but if the "clockwork boar mount" is an ingame mount, then that's just stupid. Like Joph said, the downloaders just wanted the same gifts that the box-buyers got in-game.
I'm assuming it's a bona fide mount. But do I hope I get another keychain to add to the mass of pewter and steel which is my LDoN-GoD-OoW collection. DoN was such a let down in that department.
I'm not usually one to defend SOE too much but the Devs have repeatedly stated that they tested and re-tested LDoN experience and it's the same ZEM it always has been (same as LGuk's, for the record). Less xp per run is more a function of people knowing exactly where to go, chosing low collects for missions and exploring less after adventures, meaning less kills per run for less total xp.
They did, however, nerf LDoN loot into the dirt which they've admitted to doing with vague promises to "re-visit it" that never came to pass.

Ok, I just read at the official forums that the clockwork boar mount is an actual mount. Figures.
I don't care what SOE says LDON exp went down after gates came out. The exp per kill went to crap the day GOD went live. I had been leveling my warrior fairly fast with LDON's till gates came out.
I don't understand why a person would want to do the pre-order digital download. For starters if you digital download it your giveing more money to greedy SOE, and your getting less. Id rather go to store and pay the exact same amount of money and let the store make some money. Also this way I make SOE have to pay for a box, the manual, and most importantly the CD for backup reasons. Even with cable modem it takes time to download these expansions. Also I have yet to find a digital download that gives you better in game items (if any) then the box version does (although I have found most in-game items are usually crap).
Oh and I also found with most expansinos the first week they are out Circuit City sells them for $10 less. I got LDON and GATES for $20 each when they first came out. I quit for awhile to play eq2, so I don't know if they had OOW or dragons this cheap but I imagine they did.

I don't know if I like the idea of a bunch of people running around on a clockwork mount. Im sure it will be equal to or less then the 9k mount, but still....A Clockwork?

As bad of a game that WoW is I always liked the racial mount idea. If SOE had enough vision they would do the same.
What kind of makes me mad is that if you buy the box you get both... When I logged in the other day I saw that if you pre-order you get the garg spirit shroud... I thought awesome, I can either buy at the store and get the mount OR buy at the store and get the mount. I would MUCH rather have the shroud, but the thing is anyone who buys the expansion will have the shroud... That sucks!!! The pop-up when you log in didn't say anything about that... I would have waited until the store version otherwise...
FYI - After a recent crash, installing EQ with a cable modem from luclin to DoN took 6 hours ;-)
