EverQuest cutthroat?Follow

Now many people now-a-days seem to be taking EQ a little bit to the extreme. But thats not me topic here what I'm here wondering about is when did EQ get so cutthroat? I mean the other day in CB I got kicked out of MY group because I went to go get food from Kelethin and I came back they found some Twink alt saying if they'd let him in the TR grp he'd grab his Druid (64) and PL them. So I came back me being leader asking who's that and they said we want to be PLED so the all left MY group and reformed putting the alt in my place.

I was a bit peeved about this but hey I went down to Kurns and soloed in thar till 20, So (I havn't played since.. Kunark) So I said is LOIO still a good hnting ground for 20-23's? People said no PC is much better xp. Yes that is true... But the bandits in are not the only thing in the caves that is backstabbing.... OH MY GOD! The people in that zone are HORRID! I joined a grp at c1 I think. we were the ent grp so then the mid section grp said hey ALL the tents are ours back off. Now there were many camps there and all seemed to be fighting for a mob and make about 3 bubs pof blue now thats nice. But I bet that I could go down to LOIO and solo to 23 before any of them got a level because they're too busy yelling at one another. Now I hope SOE will make a new 16-25ish zone with many places to camp that is open and not enclosed.. LDON great, if you have the time. But me I like 45mins-2hours of Camp grping not Backstabbing so we can get to a higher level. Everquest has I think offically become corrupted with minds of dirty cuttthorats whop want to trampel over everyone to get ahead, I mean thats RL why does it have to be Norrath too?

This is one reason why guilds exist. For me I hate 2 things, someone telling me how to play my class and 2 someone constantly pressuring me for this or that. If in an hour our group kills 2 less mobs, I could really care less. Many people I have grouped with in fact push things too such an extent that the group is bairly in control of the pulls, or the puller is tanking half the mob before the MT is actually ready for them. Another one was a while back I was 2 boxing in a group in Dreadlands. I usually tell people that I am doing this, just so they know. However right after I mentioned this, one of the people started getting on to me about getting my pet in earlier. Get bent, I was pulling with my ranger, snaring then auto-attack. Then slowing, and sending my pet in with my shaman, add the sit down and stand up with the shaman and I have my hands busy. The group was doing fine chain pulling, everybody over 90% health, my ranger was MT and was running away to pull another at 20% when the mob turned away. We were cruising along and this one person kept continually ********* Yea maybe my pet doesn't get sent in early, maybe I forget all together, for the amount of time these mobs are lasting, he might be doing 60-100dmg total. I don't get it sometimes. I could see if we had to have med breaks or if I was pulling adds all the time. baaahhhhh nuff said. On the other hand, other people gave me compliments on how well I 2-box, so I guess it evens out.

Not that this helps your cutthroat situation, but ***** the bandit camps. I always just go to the Outcast Shik'Nar in the back of the zone and solo in peace since no one ever goes back there. About the same level and nice xp until 25 or so when they start to cyan out. But constant killing if you crawl the tunnels, easy single pulls, etc. Beats the hell out of watching three bandit groups try to KS each other and fight over limited spawns.

I am lucky in that playing GMT means that places like PC are fairly quiet and camp stealing i at a minimum.

I think you mean B1, the reason that people get all tetchy at B1 is because if you split the camp so a group has a side each the xp slows down to what you would get in a normal 16-24 zone and that not why people go to PC.
I don't understand the obsession with B1 there are 4-5 other camps so why people insist on splitting it instead of moving further in i have no idea.

yup sure is if you are willing to solo since it's a graveyard now, the only people who go in LoIo on Druzzil are the 50+ on thier way to Veksar and a bored drood or 2.

the bottom line is PC is there to get you from 16 - 24 in 8 hours so bite the bullit and move on.

I think the name of the camp depends upon which server you're playing on. On Prexus server, the camp is called C1, but the drama is just the same. Camp stealing. Kill stealing. ******** and moaning and much ill will.

There are only 2 bandit camps so far as I am aware and each can support 2 groups with decent exp. I assume you mean other camps within Paludal, like Jophiel's Shik'Nar and the Owlbears and fiends. In which case I'd have to say 4-5 was a conservative estimate, those are big caves.

People generally do the bandits because they drop cash and armour that is worth a few plat. Not long ago I was in there and a sad 30 enchanter was KSing off us and when we asked him why he was there he said "for the loot". Back in the day that was how I made a first few pp for my warrior. Nowadays it is pretty irrelevant to the twinks passing through for exp.
