What are some cool looking rouge daggers that are AFFORDABLE BY A 36 MAGE? I am thinking of starting a rouge, but I know nothing about them, what stats should I put in him? I decided to make a Dark Elf sinc the look cool, and are one of my fav races. Also please link some noobie armor quests that r good, and picklock quests. I know nothing about rouges exept for backstabbing, apply poision, pickpocketing, and lockpicking. Also how do u apply poision? I want to make 1 cause I hardly ever c rouges nemore! Also they can disarm traps and stuff so ne info would be appreciated! TY!

Dark elves do not make the best rogues, but if thats what you want, I won't stop you. Just so you know Barbs and Dwarves are the best, but it is up to you. All your points into STA upon creation, regardless of race. https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=6297 is a good starter weapon. Thats my advise.

I hate to came across like skeeter but rouge is something a lady put on her cheeks not a class in eq!

why not take a trip to you local Bazaar and type /bazaar and look it up yourself, none of us know how much you want to spend and from experince rogue piercers are increadibly cheap.

if you are not sure how to look up a rogue piercer then here is how you do it

column filter class:- set to rogue
column filter type :- set to piercer <it is further down the list than 1hs and the other weapon as the list is alphabetical.

i hope even if a haven't helped you on your quest for a weapon i have at least educated you on spelling a simple 5 letter word.

as for other questions if you flick through the pages of this forum there is one called 'Rogue questions' that will help you.

Same reason I have a Commodore 64 error message under my name despite playing EQ on a PC. 'Cause I like it there.

hey mister Annon poster why don't you take a trip to the Out of Topic Forum and have a look around maybe it will Raise your IQ or at least teach you how to type in lower case.

what wrong with Neopets anyway they are cute harmless and some of the games are cool. I can find time to play that and have a 58 Pally , 40 chanter , 34 cleric , 32 warrior , 22 rogue , 20 druid and a Vendor toon with 200+ hours playtime.

Anyway, back to pokers...

If you're just interested in good looking, I believe either Envy or Woe (or both) has a three-bladed look. Blackguard's Dudgeon has a similar look; a short sword with two side blades angling off the hilt.

Fungusbeast spine might be affordable by you. Not all that exciting, but it has a Luclin graphic -- sort of a yellowish dagger without a crosspiece. It also has the benefit of being a good rogue weapon in general.

Shiv's look pretty much just like the name; a short knife blade tied into a stick for a handle. There's also the harpoons out of Ykesha which look kind of cool though sadly the stats were nerfed a while back. I don't recall if the broken bottle is piercing or slashing; the stats blow but it's fun to look at.

I'm sure there's got to be a cheap rogue piercer with the "serrated blade on a gold hilt with a big purple gem" graphic, but I don't know what it is.

I believe the crystal grinder has the "big triangular blade with a hand grip" model you see on monk weapons.

Fungusbeast spine is easily the most expensive out of the ones I named. Most of the rest are anywhere from 10pp-300pp or so at most. At least assuming they're fairly priced since none of them shine as weapons in a ratio sense in today's market (but most would be fine for a beginning alt).

Stone Bladed Stiletto and Slargilug Spear (spelling) look pretty fine, although personally I'd advise you to ignore the graphics and get weapons with good stats.

Also how do u apply poision?

Old world poisons: put your poison in an empty inventory slot and right click on it. You will see your rogue kneel while he applies the poison. When you stand up, it is applied.

PoP poisons use the same right-click method, although the applying will look like casting a spell. You will see a spell casting bar while your rogues applies the poison. It will add an icon in your buff window as well.

Picklock: buy lockpicks and visit Befallen. There is a closed door to the left after zoning in. Equip your picklocks and start clicking on the door.

Newbie armor:
Check your local rogue guild manager in your starting city.

And pick a Barbarian. Or Dwarf. Or Halfling. Or Vah'Shir. Elven rogue stats are crap, I can tell you from my own experience.

Veteran's Dagger is white and gold and has a curved serrated blade.

I am no authority on "cool" but it looked good to me. Stats are not too bad but there are definitely better rogue piercers for the price.

Hard to beat the good old Fungusbeast Spine - even if it looks like you're stabbing things with a banana.

Nice one =)

Doesn't that Veteran's Dagger look very much the same as an Ifir?

Never seen an Ifir close up.

The mini graphic is different if that counts for anything. It looks a bit like a bowie knife with the blade curved downwards and the serrated edge on top.

That Ifir is a nice item, beats a wicked shag by a mile. Shame they aren't selling elemental stuff although I imagine the price would be pretty extreme.

Actually, Slivers from Resolution had an Ifir for sale a few weeks ago.

1300K, and it's yours.

This graphic resembles it nicely. Also, look for FaF's rogue Waii. He wields one, Cobra.

I don't have 1300k on me just now, wonder if he'll take an IOU. Smiley: smile

I'll pass the Veteran's Dagger to Avey who you seem to see reasonably often. You can say if it looks like an Ifir.

Ifir-wise, I think I confused the Veteran's Dagger with the Rune Bladed Dagger.

Maybe we can both look for a RBD, find a rich eBayer, use the trade-window scam and walk off with 650 grand each. I bet you could find yourself some fine cleric stuff, a Fennin Ro belt for Sylphy and a Stonewood for Astariel for that.

/wink

I am an idiot.

Just logged my rogue in and what do I see in the loading screen? Gold handle, purple gem on hilt, curved serrated blade. Legendary Dagger of Might.
