Seb. & Kael DrakkalFollow

I don't know if this has been posted before, but why are Sebilious and Kael Drakkal locked? Is it only to US citizens (so some uber-druid tells me) or have they done a very naughty thing?

The message does say locked however there are players on them. They are the French and German language servers. You need the language pack installed with their localised version of the game to be able to play apparently.

well, u need the localised version of EQ to be able to log on to KD and Sebilis.
When French / German launch the patcher, they can decide of the language (their own language either english).
When they choose they own language, so the US servers are set as lock.
When they choose English, so KD / Sebilis are set to lock.
Just to prevent some prob in the game due to not same language.

I've wondered about this, too. The one thing I noticed is when I sort by population, they end up at the bottom, which as I recall is the most populated. Are they really amazingly crowded servers? Or is my list just screwy?

okay some info.

The population order. As well the by rank population server as listed are not correct anymore.

In fact you have two lists in there.

SoE servers and Ubi servers.

All know SoE servers. As they are servers where gm functions are ran by SoE itself.

Ubi Servers in short are servers where the gm roles have been leased out to the firm Ubisoft. With this came that a number of accounts priorly being paid toward SoE were moved as being paid to Ubisoft.

The trick is this.

If you are being billed to SoE. you will have the SoE servers on top of the list. And will allways find the three Ubisoft servers on bottom of it. VS KD and Seb.

If you are being billed to Ubisoft this will be reversed. With finding the Ubisoft servers on top at all times and the SoE servers being listed below them.

The sad thing is that this was never advertised so many people do not know this. Also the other sad fact is that those who play on these servers. Or are being billed to Ubisoft no longer can expect the same services as on the SoE servers.

A number of players made this move. As they wished to play on localised servers. And pay the same money. As they did so they were assured they would keep receiving the same services. But alas this ended being false.

For one when on a ubi server you cannot get a name change. It is a service that isn't provided on these servers.

Furthermore you cannot request any transfer to any SoE servers. and to Ubi servers you can only request naked transfeers.

Finally any special soe offers. Like Digital download. Multi game passes are no longer available to ubi customers.

Hope this helped. And hope i didnt go to far in my lil rant bout this situation hehe.

correct, there are some disadvantages of being an ubisoft customer, but on the other hand our ingame support is excellent. weekly events and very nice and helpful GMs. many people where surprised by this after moving from a soe server to an ubi server
