My ranger just dinged 25, and I think he needs an armor upgrade. His banded armor isn't cutting it. Someone suggested blackened alloy gear, but it seems kind of bland, since it doesn't even add any stats. If someone could post a magelo to a 15-25 ranger in fair equipment, I'd appreciate it. Keeping in mind most of the gear considered standard at 25 is double the price on my server(Stromm). Right now I'm wielding a blackened alloy longsword primary and a sharpened flotsam secondary, and intend to go do my wakizashi of the frozen skies quest whenever I make the effort to get some tiger skins. I expect that'll replace the alloy longsword. Any suggestions also appreciated, thanks.
This is a Paladin, but a ranger can wear pretty much all this gear. Only item different is chest, and I would recommend Tree Weave for a ranger.

That is a decent equipment set, but like I said, Stromm is far more expensive. That 250pp centi shortsword is somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500pp in our Bazaar. Poopy if you ask me. =( I think this banded is going to last for awhile.
Rein's list looks pretty good in terms of price for quality; I was going to suggest all Ry'gorr and other low Velious gear also. But if your server's economy is that screwed up, you won't be able to find crap with any worthwhile stats for that much. Might as well keep your banded till you can at least afford some of this stuff (which can keep you till 40+).
Oh and if you're doing WotFS go ahead and work on the Swiftclaw Sash (if you haven't already). It's a great piece to get while exp'ing to 30; 15% haste and minor stats.

I agree with the majority of the equipment in that Magelo profile. Mostly good stuff, but if you ask me, any ranger that uses a shield after lvl 17 needs to be taken outside and beaten. Rangers have no need of a shield, as we don't get bash, and our DPS would be greatly decreased without the off-hand weapon.
As for the pricing on that server, tough luck =\. Can't really make any suggestions there. GL finding the best prices =).

That magelo is for a paly, hence the shield, however the gear I feel is good for any lowish level Melee. For duel wield I like smoldering brand and Crystaline spider fang. 400 pp for two low delay weapons on Karana. Smoldering brand is 9/22 and the fang is 10/22.
