For one it takes forever to even find a group these days. Being 62 i can spend an easy 2 hours lfg. Yelling for a planes group and shouting in the ldon channel for a group while 110 people sit in the channel and never send a reply cause they want an all lvl 61 group. Then when you finally get a group you kill 3 mobs and the cleric has a "guild raid" and has to go. Then you spend another hour trying to get a healer.

Why would you want an all lvl 61 group? Five 61s and a 62 are going to get the exact same dungeon.

to me sounds like someone has a bad rep.

i have never sat LFG that long with either of my 2 higher toons, unless it was at an odd hour when there were not that many ppl on.

put your /lfg tag on and use the lfg tool from LoY. heck if you cant find a group to join, then make one. find a cleric and creat a group around said cleric. very easy, and often times rather rewarding.

heck by the time you are at the level to group ldon with 62nd toons most players will know their job rather well. its just a bit of chat before entering advent to clerify the details and go forward from there.

almost all of my ldon hunts (50-60 combined or so) have been pick ups. i would say 98% have been pick up ldon hunts.

Finding a LDoN group can be hard. You got to have the right number of people, right classes, and in the right level range wanting to do the same theme to get a group together. Interest in LDoN has dropped off alot so it has gotten to be a real issue. But getting a planes group is not hard at all. I get tells all the time while I'm soloing asking if I want a group. When I don't even have the LFG sign up.

Pickup groups aren't bad. I normally have a few friends on so we only have to fill 1 or 2 slots. I think it's a great way to make new friends.

I wish more people would use the LFG window instead of ooc-ing in the various zones though, and I hate it when people send me tells out of the blue asking me if I want to join thier group. I normally just say "no, i'm busy with something else". Someday I'm just gonna snap and start being a smarta$$ though and say "Do I have LFG on?"

while occasionally I have problems with pickup groups, I'd say 80% of my exp has come from pickup groups =) Not to mention I've met lots of cool people in pickup groups that later became good friends (and one I've even met IRL since then)

Pickup RAIDS on the other hand, tend to be disastrous, because you never know how many people are actually capable of following directions, and what's on their agenda. For raids I prefer to stick to guild raids and the occasional raid I've been invited to by a friend's guild.
