New to EQ, and decided to play a druid. Up to 22 now, but still using armor from the noob armor quests. Was just wondering.. if there is an upgraded quest armor between this one, and the quest armor from the jaggedpine forest. Site says that set of equip should be attained at lvl 35. But I cant find any info on any armor in between.

If there isnt any armor, anyone have any advice on where I should go to farm $$, to maybe luck out in bazaar and buy armor there?

Thanks in advance to any help/advice/info given. Greatly appreciate it =)

Whether there is a "mid-level" armour set for druid I do not know. I suspect that there is as all other classes I am aware of have one. However it is about 5 expansions behind the times and just as a 30's ranger wearing Ivy Etched gear would be feeling a little silly I suspect that you will find the druid equivalent is equally outdated.

One of the features of those old quests was the "rounding" of stats so Warriors got armour with INT and WIS. You would probably find your set increasing helpful stats like AGI rather than the WIS you are probably after.

The alternative that is much more up to date and doable in your 30's is the Twiglet Sea. The spec is quite nice but the quests can be a long affair since each set of components has a "rare" which may be hard to get.

There isn't really anything I could recommend between where you are and 30's. There are some good buys in the bazaar quite cheaply. Shroud of Nature would probably upgrade you and sells for next to nothing. A 22 druid could make that money easily doing mammoths in Everfrost. Your tracking ability will stand you in good stead. The old faithfulls of Spider Silk and animal Hides are also there.

You will be lucky to get much of the Jaggedpine armour at 35 and it is not really worthwhile anyway. For example the Boots are 11ac, 2dex, 5sta, 5sv magic. For this you need to kill a level 45 Potameid guardian who is immune to snare and root and highly resistant to fire nukes and an underconned 32 rogue similarly resistant to snare and root who runs at SoW speed. Really a mid 40's minimum

There are comparable boots available cheaply on the bazaar - Coterie General boots are quite similar - and other ones better suited to your druid as well.

Armour is not a prime concern to a druid since you should not be getting hit. Your main resource is your mana pool and you should be doing everything you can to improve this with focus items and WIS/Mana items. Many of these can be quested or camped at your level. The easiest and one of the best is Fine Antique Ring. You might have to buy the Cockatrice beak and Cougar hide at 22 but the benefit is enormous.

cant tell u much other than i listed in jan 9 thread of druid armor. race specific, and any wis augs u can make out of ldons are helpful definently kill the gaurdian, but bring friends its a bklast and u whill have fun pulling for them since u can track specifics. all the rest is reasearch (For savu\ing) and availability. get help from guildys in kiilling what u can, and use baz feature to get wis items by type and money u have. the extra +1wiz in gloves may just be 10p above what u put in so check and see and contact seller. ive made deals that let me walk away with the item at half price and payments. no doubt. it helps to have a guild with a good reputation.WOOT!. but take the time to reaserch. i gained 54 wis points for 1k inna afternoon just by clever shopping and alakazam. on one item the addition of ac and mr,was only 5p. just check back and forth. spending some precious playing time pays off in the mana area and even though u med longer, u blast much more.LOL. Rock on,GL...:)

should slow down and read ur ?. Farming is tough at ur age. best to use groups and then reaserch where and what in premium side of alakazam or what ever site u use for item data base. I CANT RECCOMMEND PREMIUM ENOUGH> it allowes a whole new ability t set a time with a gruop, or solo for us druids, to get together and kill something specific for a reason. to make money. remember selling is dodgy and what sold yesterday for 250p each may not sell for a week at 50p. it takes time on baz and time getting those "RARE" drops that arent no-drop items. its worth the extra hours, and can help u find and track that named for the item possibility that sells for the most in the bazz on ur server. Im old enough with almost enough wis to quad-kite, but i farm giants with a guildy, same time everyday, 2 and 1/2 hours, then i play skills and group with other guildys. i'd reccommend a steady group of friends to help. Thats what a good guild can do for u. it teaches u how to group, helps u level, and teraches u EQ etuque and playing ways. use it well, treat it well and ull never be far from true friends.
as u can see a good guild is imperitive to helpingu learn quickly how to play well, also i reading. i spend hours reading about this stuff. during my playing hours i have another coomp up to research and check maps with. when im waiting for the ldon split, or group to form, i read on the side. also about 2-1 ratio. See im new too only 5 months, but i read lots. try eqdruids.com to start. theres about 5 good places for just druids ive found. including forums. if u need more just start new druid thread ill see...:)
