Summary

A goldsmith is needed to fill an order. Only Elvaan need apply.

Walkthrough

Speak with Femitte in Victory Square, Southern San d'Oria - she is right near the auction house. After talking to Femitte, you will be given a cutscene where she requests the services of a goldsmith. This goldsmith must be Elvaan of course. Note: You may or may do not need to complete The Elvaan Goldsmith and Father Figure quests from Michea prior to this quest. Obviously, if you had completed these quests, this would be a dead giveaway because of the first quest's title.

Travel to Bastok and then go to Bastok Markets and find Michea, above the steps to Brunhilde the Armorer. After speaking with Michea you learn that Femitte is her aunt. She asks you to obtain a mythril ingot, which can be purchased at the auction house, synthed by someone with goldsmithing at 38 or higher, or dropped from BCNMs.

After returning to Michea, she will give her thanks and ask that you return later so she can finish. Simply zone out and back into Bastok Markets and Michea will give you a key item: Mythril Hearts.

Travel back to Southern San d'Oria and give the Mythril Hearts to Femitte and you will be taken through another cutscene. You learn there is some bitterness between the two and after some discussing you are given a White Cape for your troubles.

well, if you know someone that's high enough in goldsmithing to make you a mythril ingot, you can always go to Beaucedine Glacier or Fei'Yin and kill golems there for mythril ore.

Note: This is not suggested to people below the level of 65+, you'll get mauled by the golems and everything around them if you do.
White Cape Quest

<pos>'s would have been nice to have. Though the directions were fairly well put. As for the comment on buying it rather than doing the quest, sure it'd be cheaper. But fame is worth the hastle/money of the quest if you ask me.
Father Figure

I can safely say i did not have to do father figure or Elvaan Goldsmith to get this quest. The only bastok quests ive done is delivering cabbage and moss to selbina on a few occasions.

I have lots of fame in both sandy and bastok, and I still can't get this quest ... although my fame just might not be enough ...
No pre-quests

You don't need to do those two quests to get it. I never did them, and got this quest. I just talked to her and got sent to find a goldsmith. My fame is... whatever level you need it to be to get the Map from the gardener in the castle.
Fame required not 25

I am not sure how the editor determine 20 and 25. Is 20 means lvl2 fame and 30 means lvl3 fame ? By talk to the guy in tavern, you can determine you are 20 or 25 ???

This quest need lvl 4 fame to get. I talk to the person to activate this quest everytime I enter Sandy and go to Tavern to check my fame. When my fame is lvl3, I can't get this quest and when my fame gets to lvl4, I finally get it. I have about 33 unique quest solved in sandy and repeat quest about 15~20 times. It's the same fame level for you to get Teleport-Holla quest. If you can't get Teleport-Holla quest, you will not be able to get this quest either.

Once again this doesn't require lvl 4 fame and if it does then I must be the only person who's an exception. I have lvl 3 fame and got this quest last night. Haven't finished it, and there was a time that I talked to her and she wouldn't give it to me, but when I went and talked to her last night she gave it to me np. I dunno what the deal is with ppl getting and others not, but it seems they go to fame as the reason right away and alot of times it's something else.
Bastok fame needed?
# Apr 21 2004 at 5:09 PM Rating: Decent
I have tons of San d'Oria fame (done almost 30 unique quests, and repeated at least another 25), and couldn't get this quest. However, I haven't been to Bastok yet (level 9), and am interested in triggering the quest (want to get 'em all done :) ), so I'm assuming you either need to have helped Michea in Bastok Markets, have more than 25 San d'Oria fame, or have some Bastok fame *shudder*.

I have just finished this quest w/o finishing the other 2 mentioned. Therefore, no, you do not need to finish those quests first.

Or you could just go to the Palborough mines and find one of the two or three Mythril veins that are there and mine for the ore and make an ingot If your craft skill is high enough, that is.

mmm... i could be mistaken but ive mined in palborough before. you cannot get mythril ore from the mythril seams, you only get mine gravel for mission 6. however you can get mythril ore from the mining points in the mine, just like any other ore. I have gotten one once so i know for a fact that the mining points give mythril ore >.<
White Cape, not White Cloak

The reward isn't a white cloak as indicated, but rather a white cape. Its not a bad item, but selling it doesn't even cover the cost of the mythril ingot =)

unless you're dying for the fame, its cheaper to just purchase this cloak from the AH than to do this quest and waste the cash on the Mythril Ingot.
