the crest of davoi is used in a mission or something.
its been a while since ive been able to start on this again, but im trying to get rank 5.
im on mission 4-3 and i remember speaking with the boy as part of this.
i may be totally wrong, but idk y else i'd have done that...

After giving the meat to Baudin, he says his sister's husband prays at the church every day for her to get better. If you go to the Goddess Temple in Upper Jeuno and ask around, you eventually get another CS.
Now, it's probably been six months since I accidentally opened this, so...
Anyway, I believe I returned to Baudin and he said there wasn't much else he could do for her. Then, maybe two weeks ago, I was inside the Duke's palace in Ru'Lude Gardens, and I talked to a little taru in IM gear. He said another guard had been cursed, just like Baudin's sister, and to fix it, they had to light torches in Eldieme Necropolis in a certain order ( "I can't remember the specific order, but if you pay attention, you can figure it out" he says ). He then forks over a key item, A Ducal Guard's Lantern.
I have yet to attempt lighting any torches in Eldieme, and admittedly, the details I've given are a little sketchy. I'd double-check all the important details, but the servers are down. Has anyone completed this quest? It seems like one of the most interesting Jeuno quests there is, and it's looong. I'd like to finish it.

Shouldn't you go into the Crest Of Davoi ITEM discription then? This is part of a mission.
"Crest of Davoi" shows up under Jeuno Quests after you've done this part of the mission. Same goes for Mysteries of Beadeaux I and II, and the "steps" of "Path of the Bard" and "Path of the Beastmaster".... There are a number of sub-quests that only crop up in your quest info after you've finished them.
And yes, "Crest of Davoi" also shows up in your key items.
