At Lv 74, Avatars cost an extra 1 MP/tick (all but carby and fenrir, they go up 1mp @ 73)

if you already owned a Penance Robe, this af2 is not that big of a deal, avatars just cost what they used to @ 73, but only on that day..

if you only own a ying yang or something like that, its a nice kick =)

Elemental obi's?
# Oct 05 2005 at 10:10 PM Rating: Default
Got mine today about 45 mins ago, very neat body armor to have, I'm not sure how it compairs to one or 2 of the other body pieces out there but i will try them out , I'm hopeing the +3% critical hit rate will help out my BP's a good deal. ooh and for any of you CoP folks out there I have some bad news. . (maybe it was just me being a fool thinking it might work lol). . the elemental obi's don't give you that days affect >.< . . lol well just thought i would post it for anyone else who thought it might work ^.^ and GL to all those still striveing to get it.

(elemental obi's are something you get from obtaining sea (CoP), they are mainly used for black magic (i think i read +10% potency on some website). . the reason i thought it might work was it gives the discription of. . ":Gains full benifits of XXXday and XXXweather" . . (xxx=wind, or earth, or ice etc. . depending on the obi))

In my personal oppinion this body armor is THE body armor of all body armor for a SMN. when i get my SMN to 70-75 I will try to get this armor more than i would a Dalmatica because it has a perpetual cost of -3 (saves 3 MP per tick!) while a Dalmatica only has a Adds "Refresh" effect (saves/gains 1 MP per tick) which, in the long run, this armor would save a lot more MP than the MP+50 and Refresh effect the Dalmatica gives. But this is JUST my personal oppinion.

But is Depending on Day: Avatar Perpetuation Cost:: -3, The only place I think is really useful are in dynamis. Other than that, Yinyang is much better than Dalmatica or Vermillion cloak

SMN AF2 body and head really suck considering how hard they are to obtain... ying yang robe makes SMN Af2 body sad. When does it really ever matter you avatr perp cost anyways... summon, BP, release. refresh is much more useful... to bad ying yang robe looks horrid.

Dude Dude Dude
Obviously You Know Nothing At All About Summoner....
At Level 70+ Summoners Solo In Sky, And They Can Duo Mobs For Water, This Gear Is The Best Gear A Summoner Can Ever Get. And Also What If You Have This For Avatars And Yinyang Robe For Non-Avatars, Or You Can Even Get A Dalmatica.But Yes This Is The Best. Dynamis Is Considerably Easy, Unless You Try To Solo It, As You Seem To Be The Person That Would Try. Get Good People And Boom You Have Full AFv2~

If you really would like to test this I would like to make a suggestion:
summoning Ramuh on Thundersday in Carpenter's Landing (one of the CoP regions,with an extremely good chance of lightning weather, and has an entrance in North Sandy so it's not that hard to get to) ^^

This is dropped from pretty much any random mob in dynamis-beaucedine, i got mine off of a bst mob myself. they aren't the most common drop so unless you are lucky expect to go I would "Guess" 8-10 times depending on what your LS does (cast lots, or give to the seniors) but it is a fun piece to have and good luck to all that are going for it ^^
This rocks...must have...

OMG! This armor ROCKS! I WANT it! I am not *Rilly* a SMN because my SMN is onlt at lvl 24 and my WHM is at 44...but i am trying to lvl my SMN as high as i can because i find WHM to get boaring...lol anyways. if i do happen to get WHM to lvl 65-75 first. i will definetly pick up this armor set for my SMN for when i get that high...lol anyways I think this is the BEST armor for SMN...corect me if i am rong.

Since it's an AF2 body piece, I'd assume it's dropped in either Dynamis-Beaucedine or Dynamis-Xarcabard.

Correction: I was under the impression that all AF2 body pieces dropped in Dynamis-Beaucedine and Dynamis-Xarcabard, but I've since learned that this is not the case. As for this piece, it IS dropped in Dynamis-Beaucedine, though.

If you ever get in a ridiculous mood to go kill random stuff, this + dark element day + dark staff (or Pluto's Staff if you're insanely rich) + Fenrir would probably be rather entertaining.

Then again, I suppose you could go for a Light Staff on the light element day and just stand around with carby out for an hour.

Anyway, to make this a little more relevant, if anyone doesn't know
Thunder = Ramuh
Water = Leviathan
Fire = Ifrit
Ice = Shiva
Wind = Garuda
Earth = Titan
Dark = Fenrir
Light = Carbuncle

(I've seen a lot of people not know there's a light element avatar, guess it's easy to not count Carby as an avatar, heh)
RE: So
# Jul 21 2004 at 3:56 AM Rating: Default
How could you not count carbuncle as an avatar!?!? Not only does he have his own mitts and with light staff he takes no MP to keep out, that alone doesn't really make it worth it, but he's also the only avatar that can heal himself. So he keeps all the hate when you're solo'ing things (farming) also, small meteo is awesome!

Depending on the day? Does it tell you WHICH days you get the bonus? Or is this to an avatar's element (Ifrit=Firesday, Shiva=Iceday, etc.)?
