The white magic shop in al zhabi sells this.
Banish III will also remove the natural physical resistance on ghost mobs. Effective for certain ghost NMs/KRT parties. I am not sure if this gives defense down to all mobs, but it is a big help on ghosts.

meh I'd like to have it since before the change pld type mobs including the all powerful maat (hahah) used it on me in a number of ocassions
This spell does terrifying damage on undead and even regular mobs.
Non enchanced damage (no cleric's mitt's banish+) dmg on regular mob caps at around 300-330
On undead and bones, non bursted damage (with modldavite) hit in the 500-550 range +16 MND.
A jp BRD told me simply "{Banish} Strong"

i can confirm what GilaVerde said below, this can drop off lagoon sahagin (whm) in sea serpant grotto. really weak easy prey but still aggro to lvl 75. just behind the gold beastcoin door, there are 3, and another one a bit further back. watch for links. i could solo these as whm75/thf15.
it took at least 30 lagoon sahagin kills before it finally dropped (over two seperate camp attemps, and two novv the whitehearted NM spawns), and i was losing confidence, but it finally did. probably quicker to farm up 70k, but thats not the point. sometimes its more fun to go hunt the actual drop than just buy it from the ah.

I've read up on ffxi.cannotlinkto that you can buy this from a Tavnazian Safehold merchant named Nilerouche @ F-7 for 66k - 79k based on fame.

You can also buy it from an NPC (can't remember the exact name) located in Tavnazian Safehold, main floor, in the same area that the Nomad Moogles are located.
They sell for 66k there, but you need Chapter4.
