Hot Spring
# Feb 18 2006 at 11:13 PM Rating: Decent
For those of you looking for the Hot Spring for the quest in Sandy, it is at J-9. There is no map for the place, you gotta kinda run south, southeast. Inside there is nothing but the spring. Target it and click on it and BAM, you got the water. Run back to Sandy and give it back to the guy in the castle. YOU'RE DONE! Oh, I am a lvl 15 RDM, and I am on mission 3-3. Don't be underestimated. Hope this helps.
Interesting but useless...

Go to J-6 entrance of Horlais Peak and trade any object with the Goblin Footprints. Gamblix is going but pop out and tells you stories about rank2.... useless, but funny. This can be done with Goblin Footprints of Ghelsba Outpost too.
Annoying.

I was trying to find this place for a while. And I didn't realise that there were two Grotto's. One higher and one lower. I was looking around the lower one >.<

Anyway it's a nice place. No mobs either. =)
Blank Target
# Feb 24 2005 at 7:16 PM Rating: Decent
Can anyone tell me what exactly the Blank Target is in the open area of the peak?

# Jun 16 2005 at 3:19 PM Rating: Decent
This is a pretty good question. I tried trading full of **** with the blank spot... I guess it makes some NM pops out...

Start off in Ghelsba Outpost, work your way to the top (H-8/I-8, where the warchief is) and go through the hut, over a bridge, and you'll end up in Fort Ghelsba.

Make your way to the top again, go through the hut (J-8), and you'll be in Yughott Grotto.

Go to J-9, the SE exit, and you'll be in Horlais Peak. There are no enemies here, just the hot springs. nice place to zone if you need to rest after fighting stuff for the key.

J-6 (NE exit) on the map also leads to a Horlais Peak area, but it's for the BCNM, not the Hot Springs

Oh, and no agro as a 32DRK/THF, and Easy Prey was the highest I saw in the Grotto.

ok for those of u who are ... like myself ... having much trouble findin horlais peak ...here are the <pos>'s .... in ghelsba outpost go to J-8 this is a much smaller map of yughott grotto... so i believe it's a 2nd map .. in here u a can also access the BCNM in area J-6 (this is horlais peak) if u seek the hot springs this is not the area ... u must go to zone in J-9 (there were no enemies when i entered) a good idea for rdm's is to just cast invisable if u dont want a confrontation =)
Yugotto Grotto
# Mar 04 2004 at 10:32 PM Rating: Excellent
Oh...this place is fun...so much fun...without a map...I wouldn't suggest going in, yes there are 3 parts 1- left entrance fromt the fort, 2- the middle one (this is the hardest- about only cursemakers and fighters, and oh yea! sergeants)
and 3- to the right side of the lower side of the fort, 1 and 3 are lv. 20-25 pretty safe...if you don't go deep, 2, uh..lv. 30 isn't safe if you get 3 orcs on you. wack wack wack, ur dead...
ok the springs, I believe are up top top, close to the burning circle yet...not the burning circle. so you trade beastcoins and a dragon appears....ek, Yuggot grotto is great for a lv. 40 or so /15THf you'll be rich (-_-)''
seriously, buy a map in Northern San D'Oria

Lancer: Odin Sever
Lv. 30MNK Lv. 15DRG Lv. 19/20SAM Lv. 21BST/7WHM
(I don't like leveling white mage...such a pain.)

Um its ok if you 20, cause im a lvl20mk/10rdm and i did ok. Nothing to worry bout, but try to fight at a good distance from other orcs lol. Oh yeah and the Cursemaker and Fighter will woop you. Unless you use your 2hr lol. Bah, i still havent found the peak though.
Location

To get there you have to go out of the very top exit of Yughott Grotto. That then takes you to Fort Ghesbal. Inside of one of the huts in Fort Ghesbal, there is back door that leads back into a cave. This cave is the 2nd level of Yughott. Both areas, the hot springs, and the burning circle are accessible through this floor.

Hot Springs
# Dec 02 2003 at 2:01 PM Rating: Decent
The Hot Springs are in the open area (you are sent there if you finish the BCNM).
access is through the grotto
# Dec 01 2003 at 7:03 AM Rating: Default
There is NO MAP for this area.

there are 2 parts to this area. One zone you go into and it loads up a mountain top view theres nowhere to go in this zone it empty and looks as if it for a setpiece.

the other horalis peak area loads into a cave with a burning seal on the floor there is nothing else there.

the entrances to this area are in the 2nd yogurt Grotto area.

To get here you have to gointo Yogurt grotto all the way to the end which then zones back into gelsba fort (a before unreachable bit) then fight ur way through that and back into a grotto. the entrance to the 2nd grotto is guarded by a Cursemaker and a serjent. then the 2nd grotto is filled with fighters, cursemakers and serjents with some extra bats. if u then look at the grotto map u will see 2 exite both lead to the 2 horalis peak areas

There is a map. If you get the map for Ghelsba Outpost from a merchant in northern sandoria, the Yughott Grotto is included in that map.

Actually there IS no map for Horlais Peak, says so when u go in there.. but yes there is a map for Yughott Grotto
HoralisPeak
# Nov 30 2003 at 10:32 PM Rating: Default
Horalis Peak access from Yughott Grotto can be reached by going to the Yughott Grotto at the back of the Fort Ghelsba area - I think J-8 or J-9 - I can't be too sure about the precise location - It's behind an Orc Hut at the top of the hill.
There are 2 different grottos...,
# Nov 29 2003 at 2:47 PM Rating: Default
It's from the grotto part 2, not the first part...
pos please!!!
# Nov 25 2003 at 7:29 AM Rating: Decent

RE: Where?

According to a japanese I asked, Horlais Peak is connected to Yughott Grotto.
RE: Where?
# Nov 12 2003 at 9:27 PM Rating: Decent
If it is through the Grotto, Min level aside from being 24 to use. Will likely be near 20+ to make it through to the peak. I've only peeked inside and its not to pretty at the entrance to a 15 war.
RE: Where?
# Dec 25 2003 at 12:42 AM Rating: Default
The recommend level to solo here is lv.25, since the highest levels in here are from lv.21-23. If you are lv.23 or lv.24, you will die if two orcs link. So to be safe, go here when you're at least lv.25+.
RE: Where?
# Jan 12 2004 at 10:15 AM Rating: Default
That's not entirely true. I am 23 War/11 Mnk and everything in here rates as easy prey until the next to last cavern before reaching the peak. At that point I start to run across decent challenge and even match. I solo'ed my way to there. I did not leave until I was aggroed by a Cursemaker and then by a Fighter before I could heal completely. I survived, but barely. I would not recommend going any further solo until lvl 24 or 25.
