Regular Fight Encounter

Shadehorror Phantasm is the final boss in the King's Breach Dungeon, and also the hardest foe you will face in here.

Abilities

  • Fear - Fears a random target for 5 seconds
  • Void Storm - Deals aoe damage to all party members, as well as dealing more damage to players who are stacked.
  • Summon Wounding Shade - Shadehorror Phantasm spawns one Wounding Shade for each player alive when it was cast, and becomes invulnerable until all Wounding Shades are killed.

Strategy

The easiest way to defeat Shadehorror Phantasm is to have all of your party members spread out at least 15 meters from each other to avoid spreading damage from Void Storm. Avoid players who are feared toward you, and be prepared if you're tanking or healing to pop cooldowns when/if you are feared. Every two to three Void Storms Shadehorror Phantasm will summon Wounding Shades. He will become invulnerable and not cast Void Storm, Your group should collapse into your tank to allow him to easily pickup all the adds, after the adds are picked up then spread back out, kill them and focus back on the boss. Continue switching between Shadehorror Phantasm and Wounding Shades until you defeat Shadehorror, and collect your loots.

Expert Fight Encounter

The key differences between Regular and Expert are the Void Storm and Wounding Shades. Void Storm will now place a damage over time (lasting approximately 4 seconds) which will tick for additional damage. The boss will still summon the Wounding Shades, but now they will have a timer on them (Titled Blood Burst, which has approximately a 30 second duration). Players should stay spread out as per normal until the boss begins to summon the shades, at which point they should collapse close to each other to make the next phase easier. Unlike regular, you should not attempt to kill the Shades. Instead, do what you can to snare them, and kite them until the timer wears off. If you are within ~10 yards when the Blood Burst timer wears off (or when they are killed by a player) they will detonate and hit you for approximately 2-3k hp per shade within range. You can use effectively the entire path leading to the second boss if you need it in order to kite the shades. The shades also have a melee range damage aura that will hit harder the longer you are in melee range, so do not attempt to have your tank gather the shades together. With good DPS, you should average 2-3 Of these shade phases.
