General Information

  • Appears as the boss Notorious Monster on the fifth floor of the NW Apollyon Limbus zone.

  • Upon defeat, an item chest will spawn near the floor exit.

    • It is possible for the Steel Chip to also appear in the item chest.

Kaiser Behemoth Special Attacks

  • Meteor: Strong AoE non-elemental Spell. (Circle of effect originates from spell target.)

  • Thunderbolt: AoE Thunder based damage with an additional stun effect.

    • Beware, Kaiser Behemoth often will begin casting Meteor after performing this tp move. Extremely large range.

  • Flame Armor: Blaze Spikes effect. (Effect can be dispelled.)

  • Howl: Warcry effect. Can be dispelled.

  • Wild Horn: Frontal cone AoE physical damage

  • Shock Wave: Frontal cone AoE physical damage with an additional knockback effect.

  • Kick Out: Massive single target physical damage.

    • Will only occur when a character has drawn hate from behind. (Similar to Fafnir and Nidhogg's Spike Flail tp move conditions.)

Historical Information

The Behemoth first appears in the Book of Job, 40: 15-24, being described as a massive herbivorous creature that lives in swamps, with a tail that moves like a cedar tree and bones as hard as iron and brass. Several contemporary animals have been believed to have been the basis of the Behemoth legend, including the ox, the elephant, and the hippopotamus, though none fit the description perfectly.

It is said in Hebrew legend that, after the end of the world, the Behemoth will engage in a battle with the Leviathan (see Leviathan Prime) and will kill one another. In alternate tellings of this legend, the Behemoth and the Leviathan will fight eachother, only to both be struck down by God.

In German, the word "Kaiser" equates to the title "Emperor", thus "Kaiser Behemoth" means Emperor Behemoth.

Much higher DEF than King Behemoth btw. WARs were doing 0-8 DMG to it with red curry + zerk. Like the last poster said just kite it in a circle and DoT and nuke it.

Adjust the resolution of menus.
The main screen resolution for "FINAL FANTASY XI" is dependent on the "Overlay Graphics Resolution" setting.
If the Overlay Graphics Resolution is set higher than the Menu Resolution, menus will be automatically resized.

I thought of it first:

Did this with a LS static. PLD kites it on a runnning circular track on that level. while the other mages and such other jobs blast on it. and thats it untill it was dead. same moves as HNM.

RDM >>> Gravity and DOT spells
BLM >>> Blast it
WHM >>> erase and paralyna I believe.
I saw people doing spirits within when the mob came to it.
