From the Writings of Gerik Morrow

The tale continues:
What makes a man side with a dragon against his own people?

I've never entirely understood this, but it appears to be happening everywhere. Once again I am reminded that there seems to be some sort of organization between the dragons. I've seen people fall under the sway of dragons before, but the emergence of such a massive, uniformed, and organized human army in the service of any dragon is unprecedented.  Speaking of uniformed, the armor is something new as well. It is quite intricate and inventive, and it must have taken a long time to design. It makes me wonder how long they have been planning.

This Dragonsworn army is both a serious threat and a clever distraction. They have brought this fight to us, preventing us from sending a large force into the dragons' own lands. Fortunately the leaders, under the advisement of the scholars, had the foresight to send small scouting parties to see what they could discover, and the reports we have received are disturbing.  The hatchlings in the nests seem to have been completely transformed by the minion’s spell and the transmutative element. These hatchlings are strange and new, and I know they will become quite powerful when mature. And they will mature.  Adventurers have killed some, but not enough. At this point, I don't believe it's even possible to eliminate all of them.

Still, we must also not allow ourselves to forget the very real hardships the people of Ludlow, Ardee, and Vasudheim now face. We did not prevent the destruction this time.  However, we can make it less likely in the future. I've passed on some old theories on building materials as they relate to dragon defense as my contribution to the reconstruction effort.  While it is impossible to make even solid stone completely invulnerable against dragons, mystically influenced materials can help a great deal. It's best to use something with personality; plain magic can be warped to the dragon's own needs, but if the stone or wood has a mind of its own it will put up a fight. That's the theory as I understand it. I hope it is not put to the test.
