New Creatures and Exploring Middle-earth

The web team for the Lord of the Rings Online has published two new articles on a new location, and creature, that players will encounter in their travels. The first are the pale Nimwaith's; a labourer race in the heart of Carn Dum. A snippet is below:

The Nimwaith, or Pale-folk, as the descendants of the slaves became known, act as the primary labor caste of Carn Dûm. These small, pale-skinned creatures are weaker than ordinary Men, but their numbers are great, bred and maintained in the caves beneath the ancient fortress of the Witch-king. They are vile and ravenous creatures, subservient to the will of Mordirith, the Steward of Angmar, though they remain filled with hatred for their cruel masters.

The location featured in the Exploring Middle-earth write-up, is that of the Dwarf Outposts of Ered Luin. It is within these refuges that the Dwarves guard their homes against invasions; and where newly created Dwarf characters will find their help most needed. A snippet is below:

In the Vale of Thráin, below Thorin's Hall, lie two outposts of the Dwarves: Noglond and Gondamon. The first and lesser of these, Noglond, is little more than a way-station nestled in the mountainside off the road leading eastward. The greater of the two, the fortress Gondamon, sits atop a great hill further east, watching over the surrounding lands.
