Relive the First Night of The Burning Crusade

As posted by Nebu on www.worldofwarcraft.com:

This past Tuesday, January 16, months of anticipation came to fruition for devoted World of Warcraft players around the world - especially for the ones waiting in line at The Burning Crusade midnight-opening events. At the stroke of midnight, thousands of dedicated soldiers of the Horde and Alliance - as prepared as ever - were finally able to acquire their copy of World of Warcraft's first expansion.

In case you couldn't make it to one of the developer-attended events in California, our coverage will make you feel like you were there. It was truly a night to remember.

Yeah i got the collectors edition and it really wasn't worth it. i mean all the extra's are great and all but maybe something better then just the netherwelp for in-game extra's would really have been nice.

I sat at home while my brother picked upour copies.
He came home at 12:15, and...we installed it and played till we couldn't keep our eyes open.
We both started BE Hunters...and, already reached 10 within a few hours.

I pre-ordered mine when I first had the opportunity to several montsh ago. Wnet in to GameStop, hung out for a bit, picked up my game, and went home and installed it. Played for a few hours, got a bit of sleep, then went in for PT, and got the day off to play WoW.

I got mine in the mail 14 hours after release time. It was so bad waiting in my nice warm cozy climate controlled environment, I had a hard time situating myself comfortably in my padded bed.

Erm, I just went to the mall and picked it up at EB games the next day on lunch break. No late nights or crowds or fussing with anything, and I got to chat with a couple of other local players that were there too.

I thought the Midnight thing was great...No where else have I seen the greastest collection of dorks and geeks(which I was part of) in one place then at that fateful night we all gathered to get BC. I talked to people from different factions and servers, and I gotta tell ya, there was no fear from security that there was going to be any theft or illegal actions. I think its funny that the world views us gamers as being the anti-christ of all that is civilized and yet no one got out of hand, nor was there any negative feelings between anyone there. It was great
