Sunbreeze Festival is Coming!

The days just keep getting hotter and hotter! But according to our sources in the Mog House Management Union (M.H.M.U.), the officials from each nation have decided to hold another festival to beat the heat! Yes, the Sunbreeze Festival is back with its upbeat music and dancing to bring cool breezes down from the heavens to Vana'diel.

The rumor is out, and the nations are getting into the festive mood. Volunteers from various shops and guilds have gathered to create town decorations and fireworks for the festival, and the moogles are out searching the nations of Vana'diel for Rakapopo Dancers. The goldfish scooping merchants are also hard at work mass-producing super scoops that break under the weight of particularly jumpy fish.

And of course, the master alchemist Azima is hard at work on-you guessed it-Azimuth Circle II! Once again, adventurers will need to team up and maintain close communication in order to find a specific target. It should be easy with good teamwork, but this time the event will be held outside of town, so you will have to keep a lookout for monsters as well!

Azima claims that she decided to hold the event outdoors this year to add an extra dimension of excitement. So with your heart racing at the end of the day, you can don a yukata together and have an even greater appreciation for the beautiful sight of fireworks.

Nights filled with music, dancing, fireworks, and games... Be sure not to miss this year's Sunbreeze Festival!

Yakutas
# Jul 26 2006 at 10:44 AM Rating: Default
I heard that Yakutas wont be on sale this year.
They will only be available from the event quest.
But I also heard there are new yakutas this year as well.
So it may be possible they will sell the old ones, and you can quest the new ones. But maybe that is just wishful thinking.

Hey, I was wondering if they're selling the yukatas this year. If so, where? I've tried asking around and it seems no one knows.

catching goldfish!!
# Jul 25 2006 at 11:09 AM Rating: Decent
So, what's the best way to catch goldfish? is there a knack to it? do you do something different to catch bigger goldfish? are there any enhancing factors that increase your chance of catching something, like compass direction, elemental factors etc???
lol

I think this years sunbreeze will be like that of '04 because it's supposidly going to be outside and our hearts racing at the end of the day, and we don a Yukata, which was the reward for the '04 one, but available for purchase last year. but the fact that it may be outdoors, not uncluding goldfish scooping and that our hearts would be racing, might mean that of the sunbreeze in '04. Because who would get their heart to race fishing goldfish out of a pond? Not me....
And the music is tolerable IMO but its only once a year for a month....

LMAO...Yes it's just that bad. I've had the misfortune of having to endure it for two years already. The best music I've heard so far in this game next to Dynamis-Xarcabard is the music for Chateau d'Oraguille and the Christmas Jeuno theme.

Well if you hate the summerfest music then now is the time to change the music. Just swap out music227.bgw with an empty file with the same name or some other music you'd rather listen to. As for the fireworks...not sure what file that is as there are to damn many sfx files to go through.
Still not the same...

We already had the "Year of the *" event for this year. (Fenrir was running around with 3 taru summoners running after him.)

This event is related to the chinese new year:
2006: Year of the Wolf (Fenrir)
2007: Year of the Boar (Elvaan)
2008: Year of the Rat (Qiqirn)
2009: Year of the Ox (Marid)
2010: Year of the Tiger (Tiger)
2011: Year of the Rabbit (Rabbit)
2012: Year of the Dragon (Wyverns, wyrms, dragons, lizards, raptors, mamool ja..)

Not unless they changed it

I don't think that would work cause the way it was last year, one partner had to stand at one of the points and call out directions while the other partner walked around trying to find the other point. Just like a game of "hotter-colder".
possible easy win...

seems like the easiest way would be to have each person find the pos on the targets, give the pos to each other, and go find them...not sure if that works, but i'll try it as soon as this thing starts out and post my results
possible easy win...
# Jul 19 2006 at 2:17 PM Rating: Default
I've done it like that and it works.
