Last week, I headed over to Mythic HQ and got some information about upcoming Dark Age of Camelot events! First, and most importantly, the new expansion is in the works, and is tentatively scheduled for the 5th anniversery of Dark Age of Camelot, on October 10th. I was told that that was quite speculative, and they were shooting for a more general date of Fall 2006, but it's nice to hope! In the expansion they're trying for new RvR gameplay, a new race, and a new class. They didn't let any details of the race and class slip yet though. They are in testing of a new quest system, which they'll roll out to level 1-10 folks first, to enrich the newbie experience. The quest system was amazing when DAoC came out, but now it's showing its age, so they're looking to make it new and exciting for everyone! They're also looking into crafting system changes, but couldn't comment on any specifics, other than to say that there's some teasers planned for it soon. Couple other minor things are that they are looking into more internationalization for more foreign markets for DAoC, looking into makeing the 14 day trial more appealing instead of being only very old content, and some interface changes for ease of use.
